PBH and RPH questions

This is my first stay at PBH. I have a couple of questions?
How late is the main pool open?
We have a reservation at Tchoup Chop. How do we get there? Do we walk or does the boat go there? How much time should we allow to travel for PBH to RPH?

The water taxi will only take you to City Walk. From City Walk you could walk or take another water taxi to RPR. There is also a bus that goes between the resorts.

The boat ride from PBH to City Walk is about 7 minutes according to the captain on our last ride...then you can catch the boat from their to RPR...shorter ride...we got lucky, the RPR boat was already there when we stepped off the PB boat so we hopped right on and left. They say boats come every 20 minutes...but, we never waited that long...usually at least 2 boats were running for each resort. That was a holiday weekend though...and they were really doing great at crowd control and not making people wait at all.

You can walk from City Walk to RPR...but, we were dressed nice for dinner and it was very hot...so we opted for the boat ride.

We were doing exactly the same during our trip in May and we had it all worked out. Then about an hour and a half before we were due to go, the skies opened and we had the mother of all storms. It didn't stop all evening and it hadn't been forecast.

The water taxis weren't running, so we went down to the lobby hoping to get a cab. None to be seen, so we thought we'd try the buses. They weren't running either! We asked one of the valet guys to get us a cab, but he just jumped in one of the hotel cars and took us over. Needless to say, we gave him a good tip.

Pool opening hours when we were there were:

Beach Pool 8am-8pm
Villa Pool 6am-11pm
Hillside Pool 8am-6pm

Are the pool hours at the resorts strictly enforced?

I just got back from PBH yesterday. The main pool is open til 10:00 now. Yes, they start clearing people out at closing time.
