I had to return a defective item I got on EBay. When the company gets the item, they will refund to paypal.
Question. Will the money get refunded to my Visa, or will paypal hold it in some kind of account? I have never had to do this before.

I don't use credit cards, so I don't know - but I wanted to "bump" this up for you.. If you don't get any replies, ask again over on the Budget Board - that's where the eBay/Paypal folks hang out..

It will go into your paypal account. You can then transfer it to your bank account if you would like.

This only true if you have your banking account linked to your PayPal account.

I didn't link it to a bank account--too many stories about them screwing up and taking $ with no reason--I just would like it to be refunded to my VISA. Guess I'll have to call paypal customer service and see how to accomplish that. DH is already ticked off enough at this guy.

This is correct, I doubt they will let you credit the funds back to your card, but if they do let us know

The money does get refunded to paypal not your visa. Paypal can cut you a check, it takes I believe up to a week and they charge you a dollar or two.
