I used to use any money in my PayPal account and use it to pay bills with their Bill Pay Service. They eliminated that so I was going to transfer it to my bank account. Then I read the fine print that some banks may charge for the deposit. Is that common? Has anyone had their bank charge for transferring money into the account from PayPal? I remember years ago banks charging a fee to receive a wire transfer and am not sure that's what this is. Any information appreciated! :sunny:

I bank at Commerce Bank (PA, NJ, DE, MD and parts of NY). They have never charged me for any electronic transfers either into or out of my checking account.

I use a credit union, and I have never noticed any charges...(but I'm going to double check it now!! :flower: )

Bank One/Chase has never charged me for the transfer.

Okay, guess it is safe to transfer my piddily little balance to my checking account. :sunny:

Paypal transfers aren't wire transfers - they are ACH transfers (which means they go through the smae clearinghouse as checks and electronic bill pay). MOST banks don't charge for ACH activity, but just to be sure (especially if your bank is not a large chain), ask a customer service person at your local branch.

I use Paypal and have the money deposited into my account with no fee from either end.
