PayPal/Ebay Refund Question.

I bought two items from an Ebay Store from the same seller. The advertise that the shipping for a second item was an additional 50 Cents instead of the $5.95 listed. Well, of course I was charged the full shipping on each item. After many emails and 3 phone calls to New York, I finally got an email saying that they were issuing a refund to my Pay Pal account.

The problem is that I used an Ebay gift card to pay for the first item in full and part of the second item. The remaining amount (I think about $3.45) was paid for with PayPal and my debit card. The credit email is almost 2 weeks old and I have yet to see a credit in my checking account or the gift card.

Has anyone ever had a credit issued to PayPal? If so, any ideas as to where I should be able to find my refund?

Did you look in your paypal account? Thats where the money would have gone. After that if you wanted it to transfer it to your bank account you would do so in your account yourself.

The refund would go directly to your paypal account. I don't think it is possible to issue a credit to an ebay gift card so I think all of the refund should have went to your paypal account. You should have also received an e-mail from paypal saying your account had received a refund so it sounds like the seller hasn't issued the refund yet.

I have had ebay/paypal refunds take up to 30 days... they are EXTREMELY SLOW! It will come... they tend to take forever to let it go through~

The few times that I have sent people Paypal refunds, they have received them within a day or two. I have never had it take that long. Maybe it's the person SENDING the refund that is taking so long?

When I've received paypal refunds they have been within 2 days. You may want to contact paypal and ask them.

It's in the PayPal account. I never got an email from them though. I haven't linked a bank account yet and always just use my debit card.

Will I loose the funds after a period of time if I don't transfer them or spend them?

Glad you got the refund. The funds will stay there as long as you like them too. You will be able to use them on your next ebay purchase. You can also request that Paypal send you a check if you really dont want to leave the money there.

Was your refund because of a dispute? Disputes can take up to 60 days. A voluntary refund from seller to buyer is within 24 hours.
