When does Disney take out the money for the resort?

I know when I check in they take my credit card and everything but do they not take it out until the day you check out or?
When does it officially withdraw from the account?

If you are asking about paying the balance of a vacation package, you have to pay it off 45 days before arrival.

If you are asking about paying the balance of a room only reservation, you have to pay for it on arrival at the resort.

If you are asking about paying for charges that you make on your KTTW card, it depends. Each level of resort has a charging limit. I believe it is $500 at values, $1000 at moderates, and either $1500 or $2000 at deluxes. When charges on your KTTW card reach the limit your card is immediately charged with that amount. If you do not reach your limit, the card charges go on your credit card the night before you check out.

Occasionally you may reach this limit while in a park. They will refuse to allow further charges until the card has been paid off. Don't panic if this happens- just go to any Guest Services and they can take care of it for you. You can always ask at the front desk of your resort to find out how much you currently have charged to your card and have it paid off right away if you are close to the limit.

Thanks!

The charge, from your KTTW charges, hits your account on the day you check out. You will see it after 5:00am in the morning on your departure date and will receive the folio charges via email. If you don't have an email, then they will hang the receipt on your door. I use the express check out service every single time as it makes it extremely convenient for us.

Actually, that is almost correct.

As the PP stated, you have limits on your account depending on what level you stay at.

My last time I had two "dings" on my account; one on Friday for $1,033.00 and then Saturday when I checked out, I had another one at the midnight for $125.00 and change. I was staying at the moderate level.

You can actually continue to charge until midnight of your check-out day; you don't have to stop at 5 am.

I wasn't asking about charges to the account, just the actual resort fee..
because in the past it hasn't shown up taken out of my account for another day after check-out.

I am not sure what you mean by "resort fee."

Are you talking like Swan/Dolphin where they have a fee, in addition to your room rate?

Now I am really confused.

I think the OP is talking about the actual room rate payment, not a "resort fee" which Disney doesn't do

Actually, Disney resorts that are convention resorts do charge a fee; for instance, if you have something delivered there.

Now, Swan/Dolphin does have a resort fee, but they are not Disney resorts.

Also, he commented it didn't come out of his account until after check-out. Room rate payments are expected at check-in for room-only reservations.

Not sure that I know what you mean by "taken out of my account" if you are using a credit card. It may not show up as a charge on your account for a day or two (processing delay). Similarly if you were using a bank card, not a credit card, it is possible to have processing delays as well. And of course KTTW charges (if you are under the limit) wouldn't be put on the card until checkout.
