I just bought dd13 a pair of the Payless version of the "crocs" flip flops for $7...They were originally $16.99..She got the hot pink with a yellow inset. They also had aqua and green. They seem comfortable.

 Thanks for the info ! I was wondering if Payless carried something like that (tried their website but pages wouldn't load)I was hoping to find a size 8 or 9 for my youngest .I bought my oldest a pair at Target and she loves them! :sunny:

I have the Athen Crocs or what others refer to them as "Croc Flops." I was wondering as to what the Payless version looked liked. Is it possible for you to upload a picture? :teeth:

Here is a link I found.

I was looking for the croc knock off's for tolders. Mine is in love with her big sisters shoes. Crocs only come in size 8-9 and those are way too big. Payless has her size, but I have never seen them in the stores. I might have to order it on line.

Here is the link to the flip flops. I won't wear anything between my toes!

A couple days ago I bought a pair of the Crocs athens (flops) and left the tag on because I just hated the idea that they were $30. I wore them inside the house that evening and found them amazingly comfortable (but still left that tag on ;) husband kept telling me to cut the tag off cuz he knew I'd be keeping them) Browsed the Payless site and saw that their Airwalk flops looked exactly the same. Sooo the next day I went to Payless and saw the $7 sale (although white were $11), but I did not find them to feel as "cushy" as the Crocs. I also noticed the feel of the toe thing too much. Since I was wanting these for our upcoming trip, I splurged (yes the tag has now been removed!) and decided to keep the Crocs.

Has anyone been wearing the Airwalks for a while? Does the toe thing soften? Cuz for that price I might just grab a back-up pair in a nice color.

I've been wearing mine for two weeks now, I wear them everywhere but work, I do use them to walk from the parking lot to the building though, I love them, they're great for walking all over the place, the toe thing doesn't bother me, but I live in flip-flops.

I have some. Usually flip flops bother my toes, and the airwalk ones did at first, but now I don't notice it at all now.

I have a pair of crocs and airwalks and can't tell the difference from the two. The toe bar does bother me on both but I think I am going to try and wrap some moleskin around it and see how that does.

I went out and got the pink pair. However they are not as soft as the Crocs. I think I will wear them a while and see if the softer up.

This Dis board is always making me spend $$$!!! :rotfl:

I know that we have been talking about the flip flops but what about off-brand croc-like shoes vs. crocs. I have two pairs of crocs and don't want to get a 'bargain' on knock offs if they don't do the trick. I love my crocs but would love some more colors and don't want to spend another $30 per pair.

Soooo, has anyone had any luck with the off brand 'crocs' regular type? Thanks! :dance3:

I have two pair of the airwalks from payless and I love them!!!! I have the pink and the blue. Mine were on sale for 7 bucks also, well worth it!!! I will be wearing mine to WDW in 11 days!

YES!! I tried Payless' "Airwalk" line of thongs and imitation Crocs (not sure off the top of my head what they're called). I find them both to be very comfortable and plan on taking them to Disney as my only source of shoes. My DD8 has the Airwalk "crocs" too and will be doing the same. I even bought her a size larger pair in case she grows too much before then! :thumbsup2

I bought a pair of the airwalk flip-flops in june to try out in disney. Luckily I didn't wear them til towards the END of the trip. While they were comfy to walk in, by the end of the day I had matching blisters larger than the size of a quarter on each foot, from where the thick rubber strap had rubbed against the side of my foot. Now I am an avid flip-flop wearer, and had worn old navy flip-flops around the parks the 3 days preceding this one. I got the airwalks hoping they would provide more support, and while they did accompish that, it was at the expense of huge blisters. My wounds finally healed a week or 2 ago, and my trip was at the beginning of june, haha. Needless to say, I think I'll stick with my old navy flops. :thumbsup2

I just tried on those Payless Crocs and Crocs-type flip flops. We already took our trip to WDW in May, but when I saw them in Payless I had to try them after all the debate about Crocs and Crocs knock-offs I have read on this site. I thought the Payless Crocs were really uncomfortable. As for the flip flops - it seemed like the thingy that goes between your first 2 toes was too close to the front edge of the shoe. I can't imagine walking around WDW in either! I have an old pair of Nike ACG (All Conditions Gear) sandals that I wore for our entire stay and they were awesome!

Tried them on. NO WAY. toe thing is way too fat and hard!

Same here! definitely not Crocs!

After posting a question earlier about the airwalks. I did buy a pair of the flip flops for $7 at Payless. While I wasn't at Disney this week, I was walking around Vegas and the day I wore the Airwalks, I did get a small blister on the side of my second toe. I protected it the next day with a bandaid and moleskin and it was fine. But I didn't wear the airwalks for the rest of the trip. I think they are fine for a little walking but we were walking alot the day I got the blister.
