Linked credit card if you want to use your magic band. But then you have to go to the front desk to pay down the charge. Depending on where you are staying, there are limits that can be charged before the bill is run through the credit card
Pay off daily?! Wow. That's dedication. Is there any way to pay ahead with GCs? Like apply a 500 buck GC at check in?We pay off daily this way but since they started charging the CC sooner for the charge we have been using gift cards instead of magic band where possible.
Why not just use the gift cards for your purchases? You can go to disneygiftcard.com and combine the balances of multiple gift cards on to one (can combine up to $1000 on a single gift card). I have a gift card on a wristlet that I got at Epcot a few years ago and when I get a new gift card, I just transfer the balance to the wristlet card. It's just as convenient as a Magic Band. The CM just scans the bar code on the back of the card, so it is completely touchless, unlike using the MB where you have to input your pin code.Pay off daily?! Wow. That's dedication. My plans for my upcoming trip were to exclusively pay with my Magic Band where allowed and pay my balance with GCs at the end of the trip. If that is a no-go, I'm hoping I could pay up front . Hmmmm. If I have to use my credit card instead, my saving plans might be altered a bit.

Hmm they had it at the resorts long before there was a Disney Cruise line. It was dropped by the resorts about 4-6 years ago. They clearly have the technology within the company to allow it.
That is a good idea. I was hoping to have some bagless park days and thought the magic band payment method would be easiest. I like the wristlet idea a lot!Why not just use the gift cards for your purchases? There was never a formal reason provided but there were lots and lots of guests that used a GG to apply $$$ to their hotel portfolio and then threw away the GCs.
It caused for some serious frustration at the Front Desk of every resort for Guests and CMs.

We charged everything to the magic band, then looked up the balance on MDE the day before we checked out and bought gift cards through Target (Red card 5% discount). Go to the app, transfer funds, walk down to the concierge and pay off the balance. We saved $100 that way and it was easy. Remember the max you can put on any card is $1000 and you can only have 5 cards at a time on the app. You can always by more gift cards at any gift shop, $15 min.
