This would be my FOURTH Trip and every time I save those big animal crackers jars with coins, and that helps with subsidizing the cost ... I get around $800-$1000 in the jar (YES, I save ALL my change) This year I have almost THREE of those jars full of coins!!!! I hope the whole trip would be paid for LOL
I believe Bank of America has a program where if you pay with your debit card they round up to the next dollar and put the "change" into your savings account. I know it's not like saving the actual change you would get in hand but pretty much the same concept.
I use cash more often then my card. I'm horrible at math and keeping track of how much I spend so it's easier for me to be able to open my wallet and see how much money I have. Bills are paid with the card and then extra spending cash is withdrawn from the bank. I should start saving my change. I know I have a lot of penny's floating around here. I always get change from the Cafe in my school (they don't take cards) and I end up just putting it in my car. I'd rather save it up for a special birthday dinner on our next trip.
