On the DDP at a table service restaurant are you able to use your table credits for some of the people in your party and pay out of pocket for others? At places where kids meals are relatively cheap we want to pay out of pocket for them and save the table credits for the adults for another meal

Yes, you can do that.

Keep in mind, however, that kid's TS credits on the DDP are always kid's credits...they can't be used for adult TS credits.

Just let your server know which meals will be on the DDP and which ones you are paying for out of pocket.

However, as DisBuckman pointed out, at TS restaurants, kids' credits can only be used when ordering from the kids' menu.

If my 10 yr old wants a kids meal instead of an adult entree, I can pay OOP for that meal and save his (adult) dining credit for later? Will they let him even order off the kids menu since he's 10? Or is it usually a case by case kind of thing?

I was wondering the same thing for my 12 year old. He's not really an adventurous eater and a lot of the adult meals won't appeal to him even though we're paying adult prices for him

Yes, he can order off the kid's menu and you can pay OOP for it, then save his ADULT dining credit for later.

We have 3 children (ages 11,12,13). They are all on the adult meal plan. Our middle child is a very light eater and also very picky. At every table service meal 4 of us use DDP credits and we pay OOP for the 12 year old. He always eats off the children's menu. With his credits we are able to add two, 2 credit signature dinners. Even at the 2 credit signature dinners we pay OOP for his means off the children's menus.

The only way this doesn't work out is if you are at a dinner show or a buffet. If you take an adult child to a buffet you either have to pay OOP at the adult price or use an adult credit.

Awesome!! I thought that was the case but it helps to hear where others have successfully done it! We have a couple of extra TS meals planned that we don't have credits for and I would far rather pay OOP for a few kids meals (and have him happy with what he's eating too!) then pay OOP for full meals.

We do it every time we go (twice a year). No one has ever questioned it. Happy son and happy family because we get to use his credits. He does use his own credits for CS and snacks.

I have another question along these same lines, specifically dining at BOG - I have a 12 year old who eats a normal portion size of an adult, but wants to order the turkey meatloaf on the child menu. Could we still use his adult 1 TS credit and ask the child portion size of meatloaf be increased to an adult portion size?

Yes, they will make an adult size portion of any kids meal .
