Paying off a FD package

So I booked a FD pacakge back in December for an August visit. I paid the $200 deposit and now I'm thinking I would like to pay it off.....the Canadian dollar is now worth $1.0299 US. So my question is this....if I pay it off now can I still make changes and cancel without penalty until the 45 day mark? I need to be able to make changes as we might need to play a little with dates to get a better flight and also my oldest DD won't know for a while if she can come. I've included her in the ressie and booked outside dates to give the me the room to play with. At the very least I will be reducing the number of nights a little.

Yes, you don't get charged before you reach the 45 days.

I paid off our August trip in March when the Canadian rate was good. When it showed up on my Visa, the Canadian price was $4 less than the US price. I asked if a discount came out would I be able to get it since I paid in full. She said, as long as it was before the 45 days. This week, I changed from deluxe dining to dining plus and got a credit for the difference.

You can pay off whenever you'd like. The only stipulation is that after full payment has been made, you can't add trip insurance through Disney.

So long as that isn't an issue for you, pay away! And change later as needed.

Do be aware that all change policies will still be in effect when you modify down the road. If you're within 45 days and you make a change that results in a lower overall total, Disney will charge a $50 change fee. No matter what happens to the total, if you change within 14 days of arrival, they may charge a $15 document fee.

Thanks all......I figured that I knew the answer but it's always good to have confirmation.

I've been thinking that I will pay half now and then decide about the rest.
