My DW and I are going in sept 15th - 18th for a 3 day quick trip, I have already promised one family a couple of cards I am willing to take on 2 more families with 2 cards each to each family. If you only need one pleaselet me know and I will take on another family.

I plan on leaving *notes* and token gifts from the characters in our hotel room so this ties in REALLY well. Anyone going early Dec. that would be willing to send one to my kids and my super adorable 1 foot tall living doll three year old niece? (...I'm thinking something christmasy...possibly from the main mouse) I'd love to return the favor as well...we'll be there from Dec. 14- 20th. I'm wlling to send out two! Have a Mickey Christmas (is it too early to start saying that? I swear it's getting colder out...ummmmm....90 is "colder" than 98 right?).

I thought this was such a great idea. I offered to send 10 postcards and only got one response. I thought maybe people just weren't reading the sticky threads so I also posted another message telling people to check out this thread. Hopefully I'll hear from someone. I just think it will be so much fun to pick out postcards and send while we are there knowing how excited the kids will be when they receive them.

Just a funny update...
We just received our post cards on Saturday, my 2 yo DD loved it & my 12 & 13 yo bro & sis were very worried that someone in Orlando new their address. Anywho, I was very delighted to see them & they will be great additions to our scrapbooks. Thanks for the magic!

I just wanted to reiterate the comments from Goofydad -

It may be the reason that some of the volunteers to send cards may not be getting the responses that they had hoped or thought they would get....Just a thought - unfortunatly we live in a VERY scary world for children (and adults) and while this thread is supposed to represent a good and positive idea and encourage happiness and pixie dust we as adults still have to protect our kids and understand that there are sickos out there who prey on boards and threads like this to gather information - sorry didn't mean to bring anyone down especially on this thread.....so on a happy note.......

I will offer once again to send post cards to kiddos while we are there October 8-14. And information I can provide to the recipent family to make them feel better about providing me info I will gladly share in a PM.....

If you want anything in particular (Happy Birthday, etc) written on the card, or it to be signed from a particular character, I can accomodate that!

Some lucky children will be receiving cards this summer from their favorite
characters! I am all set for cards. (And dont worry their information is safe
with me,i work also as a childrens entertainer in the evenings and weekends).

We will be going to WDW October 13-18, and I can send out three postcards to the first people who PM me. I did this on our last trip and enjoyed it. My kids have gotten postcards from kind DISers' once before and it was so nice, and we already have someone from the boards sending them a card before our trip.

Just so you know, I usually find a Mickey postcard and the message is "I heard you're coming soon - I can't wait to see you! Love Mickey. Or a princess or Minnie card for girls. As someone else wrote, there doesn't seem to be a lot of variety in the postcards in the parks so I do my best to handle a special request.

My DD decided she wants to collect 100 Disney postcards for her 100th day of school. If anyone could help her out please PM me. I don't want to take away from kids that need a FGM. I already have 9 familes to send to when we go in October. I have room for one more.


I am sending to 20 familes now for WDW. So I am pretty much full. If anyone needs help with a postcard from my state for a project I am willing to help with that.
