I know what you mean... my neigbors DD is still talking about it.... I asked a few to send her a card from WDW .. she is a homebound kid... and was so proud that alot of Disney Character knows her.. she is 3.. we are hoping to get to bring her next year...

I just want to say WOW
When I started this thread last Jan. I had no idea it would carry on so, Let me first say thank you to all the folks that have shared the pixie dust, this is what makes the DIS community great wanting to share the feelings and the happiness especially with a child

That said I might be making a return suprise trip ina few weeks, when I know for sure I will ask that magic qustion again, will only be able to do 3-5 cards my wife and I will be flying down for a long weekend so not allot of time down there.

Hey Goofydad621 - I see you're from NH as well...I'm up in the Lebanon area. I was fascinated by this thread when I read this that I went back and read through all the threads...this was an awesome idea!! I'd love to get involved as well - my family is going to WDW the last week of January and my 4 year old son is absolutely beside himself waiting to go to "Mickey and Buzz's house"...

If anyone would like me to send cards in January, send me a PM and I will gladly pass on the Pixie Dust...would anyone be able to send one to my son from either Mickey or Buzz - although beggars are not choosers, I'd love for him to get something - anything! I have already looked thru my old trip souveniers and can't find a single postcard, otherwise I'd send it to him myself! This is an awesome idea - just think of how many children it's touched! How exciting! Any help would be appreciated!!

I live in the Seacoast area now about 5 minutes from UNH but I grew up in Keene so I know your side of the state well.
I will know in the next couple of days if my wife are going in Sept or not, if we go I will take care of your postcard needs, in all honesty I did a search for somehting I posted a while back and saw this one come up and still active, I was amazed but very pleased as well. Glad people take the "magic" seriously.

Good to hear back from you Dave. Are you staying on site in September if you go? We will be staying at the Wilderness Lodge in January...we've never stayed there before so we're excited about that. We went round and round about where to stay and had it narrowed down to the Contemporary and the WL, so hopefully the next time we go we can stay at the Contemporary. It's been a long time favorite of mine.

I'm really looking forward to going...I just hope the next 5 months FLY by!! I can't wait to see WDW thru my son's eyes...I remember how amazing it was to see how my husband was the first time he went and I just can't wait to experience it with our little boy!

We will be staying at the Pop Century resort. I am still wondering if that is a good choice we have never stayed at a value resort before but for a three day weekend for wife and myself it should be fine.

Going back in Jan. And most likely will be staying at least part of trip at WL if not he hwole thing. I tried to get ressies today for Contemp and am being told they have NO availability from 2 different sources but I suppose they both get their info from the same place in the end. I will wait and see what happens.

Just as an update I am full for this trip, but we will be back in Jan 2006 & will will put out another offer for that trip as well. Thanks to all that have had a part in making magic for everyones kids! What a great group of folks with amazing spirits!

What a fantastic idea!! I don't have any kids (other than the DH)...
We will be there the week of Oct 16 - 22 and would be willing to send out two or three! We usually don't stalk the characters much but this would be for such a great cause!

Anyone need some post cards during that week? Send me a message with the details and a couple of choices for characters... I could manage three between wine tastings at EPCOT!

My DH and I are going to be in WDW Oct 1-7th for our 5th anniversary. We don't have any kids ourselves, but would love to make a kiddo's day. I don't know if I could talk my DH into standing in line for character autographs (instead of riding rides ), so could we just "pretend" and sign the post cards ourselves? If anyone is interested, we would love to send some special pixie dust via the good old USPS. I think we could send about 5 or 6 post cards, so PM me!
