I just wanted to give a GREAT BIG MICKEY THANK YOU to the wonderful family who sent my DS6 a card from stitch. It arrived the day before we left and just made it even more magical. To minniedisney1 and maryellen, your kids cards left Orlando on Friday and we hope they enjoy receiving them as much as we enjoyed doing it. All the princessess were more than happy to participate in this little "magical" gift. Hope your trip is great, Ours was! (we got in at 2 am today!) I want to go back!

Thanks to the person who sent my DD age 2 the pooh card. It was adorable as it said hi hunny.

Thanks also to the person who sent her the Mickey and The Gang postcard. We thought it was cute. I actually identified each type of character on the card for her for example Goofy he is a dog so that she got a lesson from it to.

Just a quick note to all you fairy godmailers out there. We just got back from WDW and I was surprised at how hard it was to find my postcards. We stayed at Pop Century and the gift shop there had very few to choose from and even in all the shopping we did (and we did some shopping) I did not see very many postcards. The lack of choice of characters was astonishing to me, I thought I would have my pick of cards to chose from.

I'm not saying don't do this. I loved the ones sent to our group and I loved sending out the ones I did. I guess if anyone knows a better place to find cards that would be excellent info to have.

I was surprised at the limited number of postcards at the hotel...but found a nice selection at the parks.

Easy to find postcards are the staples...Mickey, Minney, Princesses (in a group -- couldn't find postcards of them by themselves -- well, except for the Princess Pack -- but wasn't fond of those), Tinkerbell.

More difficult postcards were Nemo (found a postcard of the Nemo exhibit -- and used that instead)& Villains (never did find one).

You can definitely find SOMETHING that fits within the categories, just might not be exactly what was requested.

Either way, it was such a wonderful experience for me. I sent 8 cards -- and tried to get most of them done my first day there.

What a cool idea. I would love to have a postcard for my son before our Jan. trip. We are going 1/28-2/4. If anyone would like to send him one please PM me and I can give you the information.

This is a great idea. I'm surprising my 9 year old dd with a trip to Disney as a Christmas gift. We leave January 12-19 2006. If at all possible it would be great to be able to offer a post card Christmas morning from Mickey telling her she is coming to Disney. She has been asking for this trip for 5 years and she beleives that we are not going till she's 13. This is going to be the best Christmas ever. If anyone can help me out with this just pm me and I will give you the details.
