How much did you spend on your disneyland vacation? How many days did you stay & what hotel? How much for food or overall cost???

Go to the disney.com website and price a vacation. You can choose disney or good neighbor hotels. That should give you a good starting point. Food varies, check out the menus on this site.

Hi!

We have 2 adults, a 3 year old and a 1 year old and are traveling in August.

We are flying from Vancouver BC to LAX. We bought our package Vacation through WestJet Vacations for $3325.00

This included:

- Return airfare from Vancouver to LA for 2 adults and one child.
- 4 day/park hopper tickets for 2 adults and 1 child.
- 5 nights accommodations at the Howard Johnson
- return transportation from LAX to the Howard Johnson using the Disneyland Express Shuttle service
- Travel insurance
- all taxes and fees

We then budgeted around $1000 for food, snacks, treats, and souvenirs while in the park.

I wasnt asking how to book a vacation. I was asking how much families have spent. Thanks though

I think she just meant you can go to the site and price out a vacation, with the options that YOU would choose. You don't have to book anything. you just price it out so you get an idea of how much it would cost.

With Life Styles and Budgets being so variety, you're going to get all kinds of different amounts.

Before I retired and had a regular pay check, we always stayed on-site. We'd fly down for at least a week to SoCal. We did what ever we wanted to, money wasn't an issue.

Now that I'm on a fixed income, we don't stay on-site. I look for all possible bargains and ways to stretch my money.

I look for a room with-in walking distance for <$100/night, when there are four or less on the trip.
When there are more than four than I look for a room <$250/night.
We go for three or four nights max.
4 day Hopper $289 or 5 day Hopper $305 each person
Watch for air fare specials for low cost flights from PDX to SNA or LGB. I shoot for something around $150 to $200 round trip each person.
Use a taxi from and to airport about $45 + tip each way.

I could go on and on.... of some of the things I have learned, to save at Disney.

But this is the basic cost of a trip when I take the grandkids.
Air Fare $$ + Hotel $$ + Hopper Tickets $$ + Taxi $$

Food will vary depending of which grandkids tag along.
We will eat breakfast on Harbor as we start our day.
Once in the parks, we eat in the parks.

Is this the information you're looking for?

For my trips it can be 1, 2, 3 or 4 grandkids, plus an occasional daughter-in-law and I pay all trip expenses.
The cost is easier when it's only two.
But when it's all 6 of us we have a BLAST!!

As I've said in other posts...
My Disney Memories with the family are worth every $$ I spend!!

My last trip with just hubby and I was easily $4000 (probably a bit more), this was staying at PPH, theme park view with concierge. 5 day hoppers, and airfare from San Jose to Anaheim.

A trip I had planned for May with a friend (which I had to cancel due to health issues) was around $3000 for a package including (2 adults) for five nights at DLH and 5-day hoppers. We hadn't purchased plane tickets yet.

Both of these figures not including food and souvenirs.

We spent about 3K including air/rental car and food. It was 2 adults 4 day PH tickets and off site hotel (Tropicana).
Well worth it if you ask me.

Lately we have been taking one day trips due to our busy schedules...this is a basic idea of what our one day trips cost....
Tickets: I dont even know the exact cost because DH handles tickets. I usually round up when budgeting and say $500 for 2 adult and 3 kids one day one park tickets
Hotel: $150 average for the night. We usually stay at CCI. Occasionally we pay up to $200 for a night depending on time of year and what's going on in Anaheim.
Food: lunch and dinner in the parks at counter service places comes to about $90 plus an ice cream at treat and usually a couple of churros. Food budget is usually $150. We tend to be just under that. We bring small snacks and waters and just buy the fun stuff.
Souvenirs: $100. Everyone gets $20. We go often so we don't buy much.
Travel: we drive and probably spend $100 on gas round trip.

Geez that doesn't feel too good to write down!

Exactly and now you have numbers ranging from 3000 to 14,000. I am sure you could stay at a camp ground, visit the parks for one day, eat subway, and spend $200 if you are only one person. We spent $6700 last month.
If you want realistic numbers for your family and tastes you need to price a vacation. I was trying to help you know how to do that. Then after you have a ballpark number then you can research each piece further. Prices will vary based on flights, which hotel, how many people, time of year, number of days, eating habits, etc.

Purchasing for 2 adults, 2 children, and an infant, staying onsite, we spend ~$1,000/day

lol, we did this twice! We were soooo poor, but had to get our Disney fix, so we drove down in a Toyota yaris ($120 fuel there and back!), slept in a tent at the Anaheim RV village (they no longer allow tents boo!) for $25/night, and bought groceries and ate only lunch in the park, CS, so about $30/day for food… so our total trip for 4 days was around $500, not including park tickets… so around $1000 total!

Oh man, to fly and stay in a hotel is soooo luxurious. We will most likely be camping again next year, in a tent trailer this time ;)

3 of us, 4 nights. 3-day military hoppers. Desert Inn & Suites - splitting large suite with DB & family. $1800-$2000, depending on food and stuff, plus 150,000 frequent flyer miles. Could be worse, but then we may not be going. :rolleyes1

When we go, its for 2 weeks and we budget $3000 per person and that includes everything. Keep in mind 4 of those are kids :) We spend about $200 on food a day (average). The days with the character brekkies or supper at the BTRBBQ are more expensive, but then there are days the kids want IHOP for supper, so it all evens out in the end. We stay at the Anaheim Islander Inn and Suites. We limit our kids souveniers to 1 article of clothing, $25 their grandparent gives them and $50 of their own $. We eat the brekkie at the hotel (supplemented by a run to target) and all other meals out. As a stay at home Mom I refuse to cook or do dishes :cool1:

Like others have said it depends on length, airfare, which hotel you stay at, how many souveniers you buy, etc.

I will tell you however you do Disney it is worth every single penny!:woohoo:
