Paying for Vacation with Gift Cards through Disney

Hey All,

I am wondering if anyone has any experience with paying for a Disney package reservation with

a) Disney Gift Cards (and if so, how have you acquired them from Canada)
b) Visa or Mastercard gift cards

Any advice, experience or point of view would be appreciated as I have the opportunity to receive some gift cards as a bonus and need to determine the best kind to request to help pay for a planned 2014 WDW vacation.

Sorry - didn't mean to scare anyone with the question

DOes nobody have any experience with this - paying with a "Vanilla" VIsa card or getting Disney GC's up here to a Canadian address?

Any help would be appreciated.

It shouldn't be a problem. DVC will take them as payment so CR should as well. Some have said they give the info over the phone unless you have multiple cards, then they will fax a copy to the CM for ease of doing multiple cards. I have seen where people pay their MF with many $100 gift cards this way. Good way to get a less expensive trip.
