Paying for Trip w/Gift Cards

Can you still pay for your trip online with WDW gift cards? I usually book my trips and pay a little each week. I have always been able to pay with CCs or gift cards. Since I can buy WDW gift cards at Smith's and save on gas I thought I would just buy gift cards...if WDW still takes them online.

I did the same thing last year -- booked & bought gift cards at Sam's Club & Walgreens & paid $$ every month or so. Some advice I rec'd last year was to make sure & keep the gift cards just in case you need to cancel. They will refund the $$ to the original form of payment & many Dis'ers said you need the actual gift card to do so. I'm not sure why but thats what I heard.

I LOVE the option of paying on line with GC's

Yes, you can! I just paid off the last portion of our POR trip today with GCs!

We are doing exactly that, and loving the huge savings on gas from Kroger
This month we had 2 van fill ups with a dollar a gallon discount! Saved about $70 on gas this month by purchasing the gift vards and paying on our trip! Love it

I also read some great advice last month
HANG ONTO ALL THE CARDS
If you need to cancel, it goes back on the gift cards!
I hadn't thought of cancelling

We do that too, because my son's school sells Disney gift cards through the Scrip program and he gets 1% back directly in his student account to offset the cost of his 8th grade class trip (and the school gets 1% as well). It doesn't sound like much but it adds up!
