Still toying with the idea of purchasing a TIW card. Where can it be purchased and can you pay for it with a Disney gift card?

Bring your photo id. We made it to DTD with just our DVC card, credit card and magic bands. My id was in the safe in the room and they would not issue us a TIW card.

Do it. If you spend about $500 in 13 months on table service and alcohol, you'll have paid for the card at the minimum. I keep a spreadsheet of our discounts with TIW and make this in 13 months easily. I did just the DVC/AP discounts one year cause we didn't go quite as often. I spent more money and I went less often. I think someone did the math once and it's about $480 as the break even point.
I think you'll be glad you did it.

Thanks for the advice. We are eating at Ohana our first night so I'll probably get it at MK. Since we aren't going into a park, I probably would have my purse with me, but I'm glad you told me just in case.

I think with having DVC discounts, the break even point increases. That's my problem Many of the places we have chosen to eat also have a DVC discount, and then next year, we are planning on more CS places. The only biggie is Shula's, and right now there is a 20% off coupon online; I just don't know if it will be there next summer. Looking at our plans now, we will just break even, so not sure I even want to bother.

Since there are so many more restaurants that accept TiW than offer a DVC discount, I tend to quote the break-even around $625. Sure, it will depend more on your own reservations and you should do the math yourself. But it's early easy to save a lot more than with just the DVC discount.

Can you direct me to the 20% coupon ?
Thank you.
