Paying for someone not on DDP at HDDR?

We couldn't get a table for 8 at HDDR next week so split our party into 2 parties of 4. I have the DxDDP plan and want to use credits to pay for the other table. Of course that other table's charges are on my credit card, how and when to I apply dining credits for them? TIA

talk to the cast members at check in, Disney do allow to pay with DDP they don't care anymore if the guest eating the food is on the plan or not, as long as there are enough credits to cover the meal, I recommend you to show up early to get the tables next to each other at least

You have options to have this reversed: call Disney Dining; ask your resort conceirge at checkin; or make a trip over to FW/Pioneer Hall box office a few days in advance.

I would not wait until day-of at HDDR, because seating arrangements are done in advance.

Arriving early will not help AT ALL with getting tables next to each other at HDDR.
Tables are assigned several days in advanced based on your booking date.

I did call Disney Dining about this last night. The CM told me to arrive at the podium for HDDR an hour before show time I know they assign tables way before but I knew I wouldn't get anywhere. We are checking in tomorrow (Saturday) and our ADR for HDDR is Wed. I'll visit concierge at our resort tomorrow.

Definitely stop at the resort concierge. They will be able to switch your HDDR reservation to your Dining Plan and credit back your original method of payment. We had this done on our last trip as we added the plan after we had already prepaid on our credit card. They were able to handle it quickly. This way you'll have the matter resolved well before your HDDR day.
