paying for meals

We are taking a trip in Jan. 2011. DH's brother and family will be joining us this year. They have a daughter who wants to eat in the castle. We have eaten there many times and DS said "no more eating at the castle." We are eating Liberty Tree (sure miss the characters) the same night they eat at castle. My nephew doesn't want to eat at the castle. We offered to take him with us to Liberty Tree. How do go about paying /using credits for his meal? We are all on the dining plan. My nephew is 10 years old. I would assume that we just use his card for payment and we will cover the tip. Is my thinking correct?

exactly...just tell the server when order is taken which family members will be on which cards--pointing out 10 yr. old nephew is on a different card. The servers at WDW split checks all the time, not an issue at all. We travel with adult kids & they're always in separate room/on separate card...have done the check-splitting business many times.
