Paying for Extra Bags and RAC

If I am on a participating airline and use the RAC for my departure, do I pay the people at the RAC check in desk for any extra baggage? I'm not sure how this works.

The day before you check out there will be a ME envelope delivered to your room with instructions, pick up time, etc. There is a phone # to call to make any baggage payments with your credit card. You'll get a confirmation number to take to RAC, though when I have done this RAC was able to see in their computer that the fees were paid and didn't ask me for the confo number.

Do NOT call the airline or go online to the airline website to make this payment, as that will lock your airline record in RAC's system and they won't be able to check you in at all.

Thanks Tinka-belle for the response. Here is my problem (if it is a problem.) According to DME (who I talked directly to over the phone...about ME tags, not RAC as I know they have nothing to do with that,) I will not be receiving departure information the day prior to checkout because that will be the day I am checking IN. This is just a one-night stay post-cruise. Where can I find this number to call for bags?

The front desk/guest services might have it. The RAC desk closes at 1pm so I doubt it will open the time you arrive after your cruise or that would have been a good place to ask.

I usually keep all my travel stuff from trips for a while before I sort it out and discard what I don't want to keep. I'll check tonight and see if I kept that pre check out letter from my SWW May trip and will reply tomorrow with the phone number if I have it.

1-407-284-1231. IIRC no charge to call this number from the resorts,
but I haven't called it in a while.

We don't use ME since we have a rental car and we have always had the phone number needed to call for the payment in the room the day we check-in so I wouldn't worry about it. As pp said just make sure you write down the confirmation number. We have had the RAC desk for it and other times they haven't so just have it handy.
