Paying for DVC-discounted APs?

Last time I ordered the DVC APs, I just did it online and used my credit card, but this time I was hoping to use Disney Gift Cards for the purchase. When I went online, this was Not an option.

Does anyone know if you can use gift cards if you call them to purchase APs? Can you even Do an AP purchase over the phone--would you call MS?

Why not just buy the APs when you arrive?

When you order them in advance, they send you a voucher (or a will-call confirmation) which you need to redeem at the Guest Relations window. You can just go to that same Guest Relations location and use your gift cards to purchase the AP. The price is exactly the same.

This is an email I received about the same exact question to MS. I hope it's correct because I haven't bought mine yet. Good luck.

Message from MS:

"You would choose the reward dollar option first and fill in how much to
use off of it, once processed it should ask for a credit card number for
the balance."

Annual Passes on line and I was told you can use them to do this. My
question now is how? When you go on the site to buy them there's only
2 options, one for credit cards and one for disney reward dollars.

Thanks, maybe we'll just buy them when we get there. We just show Guest Relations our DVC member card to get the discount, right?

Jerry, their answer doesn't sound "right" to me--I think they are still talking about using the Disney Reward card and not a gift card. . .
