Paying for DDP

Hi - thinking of adding the DDP to our stay at AKV in Nov. We are going to have almost enough VISA rewards to cover it. I'm hoping I will be able to use the VISA rewards to pay for it at check-in. Am I correct in thinking this will work? And we pay the remainder balance OOP, obviously.

yes you can definitely do this. Just keep in mind if you do online check in to leave the credit card information blank or it will be charged for the dining plan.

We had DDP for 4 Adults, 3 Days...We had about $365 Disney Reward Dollars..The night before checkout, I went to the front Desk at Kidani, they applied the Disney Reward Dollars, and I charged the rest to my Disney Credit Card!

Easy! LOVE THE DISNEY REWARD DOLLARS!

Yes, they will work. We had enough this last trip to cover almost are entire DDP cost for the trip.

I love that w are able to do this! As PP mentioned, do not enter a CC # for online check in. We did that last year and when we got to the resort, they had to reverse the charge so I could use my reward dollars. They did it but it was a bit of a hassle.

When you do on-line check in for your DVC stay, are you required to enter your credit card? When I pay cash, I do online check-in, but I do not enter credit card information. Do the two systems work differently?

Its the same. You do not have to enter any credit card information. I will say that we will never use it again. I asked at 2:00 if any other villas were available and was told yes just not the one we were assigned. Our villa wasn't ready until 4:01.
