Paying Cruise balance through Dreams Unlimited.

Hi, I am shortly about to pay the final balance for my Disney cruise to Dreams Unlimited and I was wondering how long it takes to show through at Disney's end?

Has anyone from the UK booked through DU before? If so, did you just fill in the online booking payment form or ring them to make the final payment?

I only wondered how long it takes to go through Disney's end, because I am coming up to the date (in a few weeks!) where I can book Palos/shore excursions, provided I have paid my balance in full.

We have always used the online payment form Quick and easy and saves the cost of a phone call.

Although the payments are on the Dreams Unlimited Website all payments are processed by Disney, so as soon the transaction appears on your card - Disney have it

From experience they are usually really quick, 2-3 days maybe depending on what time you make the payment.

we have always got a email receipt for any payment made using the dreams online payment form within just a few hours

i have paid two payments recently, a further deposit payment for our next august cruise (when we added extra family to the booking) and the final balance for the jan cruise and both times i had a email within hours acknowledging making the payment

i also had a email response very fast when i put the wrong card details in

like yourself i'm anxious to book palo and excursions so wanted it all paid off, we ate in palo on the last cruise and it was amazing

Easiest is to fill out details on Dreams website, then they in turn forward that authorisation on to DCL. Barring some hiccup (it's not a complete unknown for Disney's computers to have a blip and go down) then payment will likely go through same day.

Booking via a TA means you can't touch your reservation yourself, but it doesn't mean you can't look at it online. Iirc, you can put your reservation number (should be shown on your Dreams reservation if you log in) into the DCL site and pull up your reservation, you can see the status of it there.

That said, been a few years since I've booked a cruise so Disney's reservation system might have changed, but you used to be able to see it all.

thank you all - thats really eased my mind - I was thinking I should pay it now (even though I have over 3 weeks until bookings open - but the exchange rate is so poor I am holding off as long as possible! - oh how I wish I'd paid in installments whilst the rate was better!!)

Mazz - Are you sailing on the Wonder? You look like you might be onboard just after me!! We loved Palos when we went for our wedding anniversary before the children were born - not sure when we will make it back there!!

no sorry we're on the magic on Jan 3rd (my birthday) for the double dip holiday cruise and although only 5 nights we're so excited, we never planned a cruise for this next florida holiday we were waiting for the dream for the next one but this 5 night one was such a bargain we jumped in a booked it i just need to tell the kids they are still very much in the dark we keep talking of a feb half term florida holiday

it is exciting Amy and we have a lot to think about, we may tweek the oct 11 trip and put it off for a year, my reasoning is that my youngest leaves school summer 2012 and we could do the magics transatlantic crossing in sept of that year and then stay for a few weeks in orlando and maybe even and fit in a 4 night dream or even a fantasy cruise too it would definitely be a once in a lifetime opportunity and i know that i'd need the extra year to save for this one

Oh Mazz how exciting!! - I hate flying so I always dream that I am going to do the transatlantic crossing and then have a wdw holiday one day - of course I also dream that I am going to go back on a transatlantic crossing as well!! -but that 12 month vacation might have to wait until we retire though!!

Do let me know what you decide - that is going to be SOME trip report!!
