Do most retailers/restaurants in Florida use chip and pen or do they still sign for things over there?

Been going to Florida since 1993 used credit cards every day we are there. Only once we been asked to enter a Pin and that was in a Burger King. They are way behind us with it.

:) Hi there,
We've been asked for chip and pin in publix but almost everywhere else is still asking for a sig.
Audrey:)

Must depend on the type of card in Publix, we used ours a few times at Xmas. Swiped the card thru but still asked us for Sig not pin. They will get there eventually.

Most places we used still used signatures, but we had to sign on a touch pad thingy not on a paper printout.

the systems they use in the states records you signiture on a computer. So the more times you use it the more it can read your signiture. Also the pad picks up presure of signing ect so harder to forge.Love the fact that you can pay for your goods before you finnished putting things througth checkout

Am not convinced... my signature on those pads looks NOTHING like my signature - it's like trying to sign your name on an etch-a-sketch with a blunt crayon... :rolleyes1

At Walgreens I just handed over my card, it got swiped, then handed back to me. I was told anything under $20 didn't need a signature there.

Happens a lot, Disney counter service food and BK in the Orlando Airport plus other places.
