Paying at checkout w/ gift cards

I just went to our local Target last week to inquire about the 5% discount on the Disney gifts cards & the Customer Service Staff was emphatic that you DO NOT get 5% off the Disney Cards even when purchased on your Target Card. I was going to buy the cards on my charge & then just pay it off with cash at the CS Desk but since there's not a discount doesn't seem worth it. I know I've purchased other gift cards there & the 5% discount wasn't applied to them.

I bought over 80 gift cards at Target and got the 5%, so customer service must have been wrong. It saved us a few hundred dollars on the trip!

I purchased a discounted $50 Disney gift card at Sam's Club today. Haven't gone back to Target to purchase any since I was told "NO" and this was by a manager who said it was a Vendor rule that they are not discounted.

I've been buying ours at target with no problem- I never asked just bought one at first to try it out, and got the 5%!

$48.88 for a $50 card. Guess it's cheaper at Target. Will have to try next week when I go back up to Daytona to see if I can get the 5% off. I want to start getting them for our fall trip to the Food & Wine Festival.

What I do is at the time of check-in I ask to the CM to add the GC information to my room first than the CC (I dont know how they do, but they do). half the way of my vacation I stop by the main desk and ask for list of the charges to my room it gives me and idea of how we are doing money wise. They can print it for you really fast any time.

I bought a $50.00 gift card at Sams Club a week or so ago and it was $48.88. Hey every little bit saved in awesome. Krogers groc. Store you can buy a g.card for as low as $15.00. Those make good ones for little kids if you just want them to have a small amt or if grandmas want to get them a little something without spend a lot on a large gift card.
