Yes. If the bill gets to a certain amount though, they will go on ad charge your credit card on file, so be sure you are aware of the limit..we never got close so I can't remember what it is.

These numbers were updated; my bad. New limits are $1500 for values and moderates; $2000 for deluxe.

To add to this....if you definitely want to pay with a gift card, consider stopping by the front desk every couple of days to pay down the bill. I have personally experienced (and have had others concur) our room charges applied to my credit card on file when we hit about half of our limit. Not sure why. We were charged again at the end of our stay and I think we never even hit our limit for the entire trip. It didn't matter to us but could have been an issue for a guest looking to pay with cash or gift card.

Yes that is correct. You can charge your meals to your resort room account by scanning your magicband.

We pay off room charges with gift cards every trip. You will want to be sure to pay off the amount the day (or night) prior to your checkout day. I believe your credit card will get charged will all charges at midnight of our checkout day. Also, mention that you are intending to do this when you check in.

We always pay with GCs, I will just stop by the desk every couple of days and payoff the balance and then do the same thing the night before checking out.
The new limits are:

• Values and Moderates: $1500 charge limit
• Deluxe and DVC: $2000 charge limit

Gratuities for your meals can be charged to your room account as well using the magicband, but yes it is a good idea to have cash on hand for other tips and the ocassional purchase from a snack/souvenier cart that might not accept a magicband/gift card.

We have, in the past, been able to pay for the room itself with gift cards, in addition to all the dining/incidentals charged to the room. I was told I could do it for the balance due on the room. I may have even been told they could refund the deposit and re-charge it to be paid with gift cards. It's been a while so I'm not sure I remember it right about the deposit. But we have definitely paid for the room itself, at the resort, with gift cards. It was at the Poly CL, if that makes any difference, which I guess it might since we went to the concierge desk to do it.
