As I was looking on the Sea World website I came across the pay for a day, play all year deal. It says for $79.99 we can go as many times as we went through December 31st.

Has anyone used this?? I am thinking of doing this as we have trips planned for June and October and my girls love Sea World.

Are you a Florida resident? I thought they were just for Florida residents....
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Anyways, I used to have Busch Gardens fun card and the two basically work the same war, yes it is a good deal, but I recommend one member of the family getting a Annual Passport for Sea World as well, the AP is $109.99, so about a $30 increase, if you plan on using the parks parking, a AP will cover this, a Fun Card will not. Parking is $15 a car and I see you have two trips planned, so you park twice and that extra $30 is justified.

But it gets better, with an AP you also get a discount on just about everything. From drink refills to all merchandise.

yeah it is for Florida residents, and we did that last year and went about 6-7 times, lost count lol

its great and we went when the prices were $10 cheaper.

Too bad they went up :(

its a great deal no matter how you look at it

I saw the link for this one the Sea World website too. It doesn't say anything about being a Florida resident special. I have read all the fine print. Where are you getting the information that it is for residents only?

The Fun Card is marketed toward Florida residents, and multi-day tickets are marketed toward out of state visitors, however, in viewing the "fine print," I don't see where it prohibits anyone from buying either one. Several years ago I had a Fun Card as an out of state visitor. Rules could have changed since then, but I don't see it.

Oh, well alright then, I guess anyone can get one! They've always just seemed Florida resident specific, perhaps due to the fact it is very heavily marketed for FL residents here.

Just to be specific, when you go to the page to order tickets, Fun Cards appear under the heading, "Florida Resident Ticket Offers," however, I think that's just a marketing headline. Similarly, the multi-day tickets are under a heading that says "Orlando Visitor Ticket Offers."

The fine print for Fun Cards says the following which mentions nothing about being a Florida resident:
*Price based on an adult or child (ages 3-9) single day admission. Price is per person, plus tax and subject to change without notice. Fun Cards expire 12/31/11 and are non-transferable and non-refundable. Offer not valid with other discounts or special offers. Fun Cards do not include admission to select special events, parking or discounts on food or merchandise. Other restrictions may apply.

As I said, I purchased one several years ago, and in 2008 my mother had her one day ticket transfered to a Fun Card instead of a 2nd Day Free ticket (the price was the same) because she was visiting for three days. Neither of us was a Florida resident at the time.

I'm not a Florida resident but had not seen anything saying it was just for Florida Residents. I hope not as I would like to take advantage of it.

i believe you have to pay for parking each time,,,so really not "free for a year admission".

Suggestion..... buy 1 adult AP for SW to get the free parking and discount on food and merchandise for the group. Get fun passes for the rest of you. Works out good that way.

The TV ads from the local stations make the Fun Card sound like it is a Florida Resident only pass but anyone can purchase one. Getting people to go more than 1 day makes money for the park so they don't really care who buys it...

I want to say the past couple of years they heavily implied the "Florida Residents" only clause. Just now reading the website, it states valid FL zip code for purchase and offer ends May 31st.

If you love Sea World, you can look into the Platinum or other annual passes for two years. The price is reasonable, and savings on parking is a great perk.
