please give me feedback!

I am cell phone shopping would love a I-phone! it would be my first smart phone!

my choices are: ( both pay as go)

Sprint! I-phone 4 @ 99.99 for the USED/ REFURBISHED phone and 70.00 a month truly unlimited everything.

or Virgin mobile which uses sprint towers

I-Phjone 4 299.00 to buy ph then 55.00 a month!

after 1 yr the cost is the same between both the 2 big questions are!

Used with little out of pocket cash! with a slightly bigger monthly cost

New with larger out of pocket now cheaper monthly and NO real INperson tech help!

ok please advice me I cant make a decision!

Do you need unlimited? I have virgin mobile and while I do not have an iphone, I believe you can get unlimited text and web, and 300 minutes for $35 per month. I remember reading that if you set it up as auto debit, it could be $30 per month for that plan. Not sure though. I have an older phone and am grandfathered into this plan at $25 per month.

Any reason those are your only 2 choices? I believe t-mobile now also offers pay as you go with iphone. I'm thinking about getting a new phone and need to research my options as well. Looking into options other than virgin also because if I change my phone, i'm no longer grandfathered into the low monthly price.

That is exactly right. I have a Virgin Mobile and an iphone 4 (white). I used to pay $35 a month for 300 talk minutes and unlimited web and text, but then I registered my debit card as a monthly auto pay and now I pay $30 per month.

Your main consideration would have to be the initial upfront cost for the iphone, since you have to pay that in full.

I would opt for the new phone over the refurbished phone - I would just worry about the quality/dependablity of the already broken once before, now fixed "refurbished" phone.

I would opt for Virgin Mobile because after that year it will be a good savings every month so you end up ahead. IMO that is well worth the bigger up front cost and a new vs refurbished phone. If you use the phone mostly for text and internet why not look at the lower cost plans with less minutes too.

I would do new phone over refurbished if you have the $$. And the monthly bill is cheaper.

Whatever you pick make sure you are happy with the speed/coverage based on your usage habit.
I used to have VM (and Sprint both) and their coverage is ok but speed is horrible.
Using iphone to stream or surf in our area is almost impossible which means owning an iphone made no sense.
On this case the unlimited makes no difference since we can barely surf anything, let alone do a download.
Maybe they are better in your area but ours was horrible.

This thread caught my eye, so I thought I'd throw this question in and see if anyone knows the answer. I have an iPhone 3G which was mine on AT&T before I upgraded to 4S. Can I take the old phone and activate it as a pay-as-you-go on one of these plans for my DD, or would I have to buy a new phone from the carrier in order to take advantage of one of these plans?

thanks I think Im gonna save up and buy the new one! lol we live in Tampa and my Daughter has a virgin mobile and no promblems as of yet! I am also checking out the galaxy 2 4g now ugh decisions!

This. I've been very pleased with my service. I believe Walmart has a deal where you can break down the cost of the iPhone over 12 months. We're getting our dear daughter one for her 18th bd. Can't beat the price.

I guess it depends on where you live.

I had Virgin Mobile and it was soooooooooo slow! I couldn't wait to get rid of it.

Switched to T Mobile and I love it!!

Love my VM no contract plan. I have the HCT EVO v 4 phone. Great reliability on reception. It has the 4G option. I pay $35 a month for unlimited data and 300 phone minutes. Have a great quality camera. I was able to video record the Halloween wishes fireworks from my balacony at the Poly and it was so clear and the audio was great from that far away.

Yesterday HSN had a deal on a Samsung SII for $199 and they gave you $20 in HSN spending cash, wall charger, car charger, and case. Pland to use the $20 to buy the Luna PowerPro 5600mAh Charger for Portable Devices. and they offered the 5 easy pays for $39 a month.
