Tuesday 18th September
After a lazy start and Pepper Market for Breakfast again we went off in the car to Walmart where we must have spent 2 hours looking around at everything. What cant you buy there is the question. We stocked up with drinks, cereal and some fruit. On the way back to the resort we stopped off at Character Premiere at Orlando Premium Outlet mall, where we picked up a few bargains. We then headed back to the resort to drop off our purchases and went to Epcot for our counter service lunch at Sunshine Seasons.
Today is the day of the DIS meet, so we made our way to the Rose & Crown for 2pm. We had a couple of drinks whilst discussing our vacations and love of all things Disney.
After we parted company we wandered back down to Future World to ride Mission Space and Test Track before heading back to World Showcase. We decided we had enough time to catch O Canada again before our 6:40 ADR at the Rose & Crown.
Tonight I went for the Mixed Greens to start followed by the Steak and Fish
For dessert I went for the Chocolate Guinness Torte
Ruth decided to have the Fruit & Cheese Plate to start and Harry Ramsden's Fish & Chips for entrée
For dessert she went for the Baileys Irish Coffee Trifle
The service was a bit on the slow side and as we were seated outside we ate most of the meal in the dark. The food was okay, but nothing spectacular so I dont think we will be rushing back.
By the time we left, Illuminations was set to start in about 45 mins so we wandered back round to Canada and watched the fireworks from there. I love Illuminations, it is a great way to end the day.
