Saturday 15th September
Alarm went off at 5am and we were on our way to Manchester Airport by 6am, parked the car in the long stay car park and caught the transfer bus to Terminal 2. We had checked in online the night before so bag drop only took a few minutes. We decided to have breakfast before going through security since there was a queue, big mistake as it was twice as long by the time we joined it. Once we got through security we had a look around the shops and then boarded the Virgin Atlantic flight to Florida.
Once we got to Orlando international, we picked up the hire car and headed to Disneys Coronado Springs Resort. We checked in and as expected we got a room in the Ranchos section of the resort. The room was on the top (third) floor and had a view of the lake.
After unpacking we walked around the resort before heading to Maya Grill for dinner and the start of two weeks of free food.
I had the Caribbean Style Chicken Roll for appetizer, it was quite tasty but nothing spectacular.
For entrée I couldnt decide between the steak or the ribs so I went for the Mixed Grill which included both plus the catch of the day. In the end it was just too much and I ended up leaving some.
For dessert I went for the Chocolate Cake, this was very nice.
Ruth decided to try the Crabmeat Chalupa for appetizer.
For entrée Ruth went for the Catch of the Day.
For dessert Ruth went for the Chocolate Meringue.
Following dinner we decided to call it a day and head off to bed.
