Paul Newman has died.

Portland Grand Prix 2005. Those blue eyes always stood out.

Can I suggest donations to the the Hole in the Wall camps in Paul's memory? It's the best way to honor him, his work and his legacy and to give some very ill children a chance to play, have fun and enjoy life.

RIP:guilty:

A beautiful man, inside and out.

How fitting it is that he will be remembered as much for his phlanthropy as much as his acting and movies.

Rest in peace, and Godspeed, Mr. Newman. :sad1:

He had lung cancer - does anybody know if he smoked?? Such a shame.
------------------------

What difference would it make? He lived to be 83 years old - and during those 83 years did a world of good for many - including terminally ill children.. Would he have lived to be 93? 103? 203? - had he never smoked?

This response is not aimed directly at you, but when people hear "lung cancer" they automatically think "smoking" was the cause.. I have personally known several people who died of lung cancer and never smoked a day in their lives.. I have known others who quit 30 years prior to developing lung cancer and subsequently died from it.. Someone close to me is at the end of the battle with lung cancer - having quit smoking 26 years ago..:sad2:

My dad died at the age of 70 from colon cancer.. Never smoked, never drank, maintained an extremely healthy diet all his life.. People die.. Does anyone really need to question "why"? :confused3

My kids only know you for your salad dressing, and lemonade but I love your acting. God bless.

Yes he was a heavy smoker at one time.

I agree. We should all be so lucky as to live into our 80's.
