Paul and I went to visit his first home today.

We went back to the NICU for the first time today since Paul was discharged in July. I had made a whole bunch of Christmas cookies and a cute card with Paul's Christmas picture on it and we took those up for the doctors and nurses. They were all so excited to see him again and they were thrilled with how well he is doing! We spent 83 days there, so we got to know lots of those people (especially the nurses) quite well. They really were absolutely amazing and we are so grateful for the wonderful care they took of Paul - and of us! I really wanted to do something to let them know that we remembered them. It was sort of bittersweet. Being there again brought back lots of memories, some bad but lots of good as well. I'm glad we finally went. Paul, of course, enjoyed the opportunity to show off!

Im sure a day filled with many mixed emotions. The NICU staff where my kids were love seeing how big they get. It amazes me that they still remember their names. Im sure the staff at your hospital was thrilled to see Paul
