Pats WIN!!!!

Anewman
I started this thread with joy, and if it's going to denigrate into a p*ssing contest I will ask it to be closed.

I thought the Chargers played a heck of a game and should be very proud of their season. LT is a great back with (I'm sure) a great shot at another chance to go the Superbowl.

Emotions run high at times like that and there was probably poor behavior on both sides of the ball as those emotions took hold. Let's be better than that,ok?

In the original post you stated that LT was angry at the wrong people and "called them out", I have posted actuall examples of who did the calling out. You did not consider it "p*ssing" when LT or the Chargers get bashed, I assume that was directed only at me(since you only mention me by name).

Have a nice thread.

I'm sorry but I didn't see the Pats do anything that other players don't do week in and week out. And lets not forget about not allowing anyone except Charger fans buy tickets. Yep, that was real classy.

I'm in a strange position. I'm a native New Englander, but I lived in the San Diego area 16 years..I left in 04..I spent most of my adult life rooting for the Chargers ,while still occasionally watching the Pats..I was there for the Superbowl loss in 95? Every year we got our hopes up with them only to have our hearts dashed as they stole defeat from the Jaws of victory.I was cheering for the Pats last night but I would have been A -OK with a Chargers win and I would have supported the chargers all the way to the superbowl..While I was happy for the Pats I was so sad for the chargers and all of my San Diego friends who had their hearts broken again. I really felt Bad

Oh and did I mention Junior Seau is G-d.

I find just as many pre-game quotes from the PATS as there are from the Chargers, to say that the PATS did not "say" anything during the week is a lie.

But feel free to share quotes of the Chargers talking trash during the week, I found plenty of compliments from the Charger players talking about how good the PATS are.

Hmm wasn't there some rally in SD in which Merriman said many, many unclassy things about the Patriots, Brady in particular. I swear I saw something to the effect on You Tube. I wonder if THAT could have caused the response by the Patriot players, because that is not something the Patriots usually do.

And I am unbiased Steeler fan.

Heres an idea, if you dont want a team celebrating on your field then WIN THE GAME!!!!

yea pats!!

now I need to find a place to watch nexts week game at wdw...

You should join us at ESPN. We were there two years ago and it was a BLAST. If that was a usual crowd, you'd better get there early as there was a line out the door about 2 hours before the Pats game started.

I'll be there again this year, we arrive Sunday morning at around 11 am. I'll be checking us in and then wife and MIL will go to the room with our daughter while I go down to ESPN to hopefully secure a table or booth. Luckily, my wife loves football too and loves watching it at ESPN too. We have a ton of fun. Could be a long day of beer drinking and wing eating!!!

GO PATRIOTS!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish the sore loser Chargers a happy offseason. Have fun playing golf this weekend while the Patriots will be playing another AFC Championship game.

After Nate Kaeding's field-goal attempt, New England players were seen taunting the Chargers by dancing on the team's helmet at midfield.

Linebacker Rosevelt Colvin made a choke gesture. Defensive lineman Vince Wilfork, and Coner back Hobbs(I think, whoever #27 is) mimicked Shawne Merriman's "Lights Out" dance out ontop of the Chargers logo.

Yes somebody showed NO-CLASS, but IMO it was not LT.:rolleyes1

But refusing to shake your opponents hand and whining like a little baby was a classy move right? Please.

I'm sorry if you are taking what I said wrong. I hope you read this.

I never said Patriots players never said anything, I was only commenting on LT's interview on NFL Network directly after the game. I had not heard/read anything said by our players prior to the game, or from Chargers players for that matter. I was only commenting on what I heard.

I have also never bashed LT or the Chargers and I don't like it when fans get so worked up they go after one another. That's it. I also have never asked you to leave this thread. I mentioned you by name because it just seemed to me that you might be getting worked up and I wanted everyone to take a breathe and remember it was a great game.

Again, let's not go after each other please. And I won't reply to any more of your posts if you'd like so that way there is no misunderstanding, ok? Ok, back to our original broadcast station.....:)

And it is just too bad so many Pats fans were shut out from going to the game since to buy tickets you had to have a Southern California address... go figure!

I don't really have a problem with this and San Diego isn't the first to do this. I don't really want a ton of fans of the opposing team in "my" stadium.

So, getting back on topic. The last Patsies win of the season.

The Chargers won 14 games this season, not once did Merriman run to CENTER FEILD and do the dance on the home teams logo. Not once did a Charger player make a choking gesture at opposing players, even though they had numerous come from behind wins.

Yes the Pats showed exactly how classy they are.

Here's something to just jot your memory on how unclassy the San Diego team is....

CHARGERS HAVE A SHORT MEMORY

Amid complaints from running back LaDainian Tomlinson and other members of the San Diego Chargers that the New England Patriots celebrated too fervently their unlikely victory over the 14-2 Bolts on Sunday, we've been reminded of the Chargers reaction to a similarly unlikely win from a year ago.

In New England.

After thumping the Pats by the score of 41-17 and shattering the team's 21-game home winning streak, the Chargers were not exactly humble.

"That's a [butt]-whipping," said defensive coordinator Wade Phillips in an article penned by Tom Curran, who at the time wrote for the Providence Journal and who now works for NBCSports.com.

Cornerback Drayton Florence (or is it Florence Drayton?) was less tactful: "F--k New England and their team," he said, before turning to a "collection of onlookers" and adding: "Get the look of shock off your faces. Don't be shocked. We beat your [butt]."

So, you know, maybe a few of the Pats were remembering the way that the Chargers handled themselves in 2005.

And if L.T. is going to get bent out of shape because his opponents do this kind of stuff, we'd like to hear what he's been doing to persuade his teammates not to act that way, either.

Frankly, there aren't many NFL teams that can claim to be, top to bottom, the modern-day equivalent of Fred Blassie. So none of them should ever be *****ing when another squad does what they've surely done themselves at some point in the not-so-distant past.

For those of you who didn't Tivo it, the game will be re-aired on the NFL Network this Wednesday at 8 pm and again Friday at 9:30 pm. Even for those who did Tivo it, there will apparently be game enhancements that they will be adding.

From what I've heard, members of both teams said things that they probably shouldn't have, it's unfortunate that the media likes to blow these things so far out of proportion. There is no team that is 100% innocent.
