Patiently Waiting for DVC Member Card!

When I read this thread I had a flash back. About 8 months ago I had the exact same problem. I called MS and got the exact same response. They told me that I didn't need my card anyway because I was going to WDW any time soon. I ended up receiving my permanent card about a month after my temp card expired.

The cards I just got look like they were punched out (or heat pressed) out of a sheet of layered plastic and do not look like regular credit card material. The edges are sort of rough and there are obvious layers of plastic that look as if they could de-laminate over time.

Have these been like this for awhile now or is this new?

The cards we got in '98 de-laminated in about a year. I had to type my account number with a Brother p-touch and stick it on the card then relaminate it myself. Don't know why they can't punch them like a regular credit card.
