Pathetic single guy dilemma

I'm an avowed pathetic single guy. :(

There's a woman who gives the sports on TV in the morning who I just love to watch - for various reasons. I just learned she's playing in a celebrity golf tournament near where I live - a tournament I attended last year and was considering returning to. It's free, one day, and a terrific place to watch PGA pros up close and get tips.

I'm just afraid that if I go I'll worry all day whether to watch her play, or whether to say, "Hi, I love your show." (you're encouraged to ask for autographs). I probably won't and then afterward I'll feel depressed that I missed my chance to meet her and it will nag me everytime I watch her show. Even if I do go up to her I'll probably feel badly afterward for saying the wrong thing, or not enough, or something. Perhaps it's best to keep these things separate. (and I'm not talking about asking her for a date or anything stupid like that)

As a pathetic single guy I have so little joys when it comes to women. Watching her every morning is one of them and I don't want to ruin it. What would you do? Thanks.

Hi Pathetic Single Guy!!! You know, you just need to RELAX a little bit. I think you are a PSG because you are taking this all way too seriously. A woman REALLY likes a confident man, even if the confidence is put on (hey, we all have our insecurities). If you really want to go see her, then go. Just tell her "I really like your show" and give her a nice smile and leave it at that. Don't worry so much. Most women, including myself, can overlook many perceived shortcomings in men. What we like most are a good sense of humor and someone who is self-assured--all the other stuff doesn't matter. And it the other stuff does matter to a woman (looks, the car, etc) you don't need them! Sorry, didn't mean to lecture.

I say go a enjoy yourself. Get her auograph if you want and let her know you watchdaily and enjoy. Then, just enjoy being there and watching golf.

Ditto what jamsmom said. Don't try so hard. Just be yourself.

I say go, but go with a "whatever will be, will be" approach.

Don't find yourself spending so much time in pursuit of the unavailable, you may find that it leaves you no time to chase after the actually available. :)

It is times like this that as a guy, you must do as guys do following the first and fundamental rule of guy life:

Have a coupla beers and don't worry about it.

(like what Snoopy said but with beers)

The woman's pga comes thru here. I've had my kids to clinics taught by the pros. They were so great with the kids, and really down to earth. Go, have a great time. There are alot of things going on around the wpga tour. There are dinners with the players, golf clinics, and all sorts of things. Go check it out. Who knows, there might be a nice non-pro lady there watching too.
