Uh...yeah, I've made mistakes, like forgeting to pay a parking ticket, or rolling through a stop sign...but never have I hit the airwaves on a television show that I produce, that espouses Christian values and suggest that a foreign leader be assassinated. There are mistakes and then there are MISTAKES!!bcvillastwo said:Pat made a stupid mistake and he's paying for it. Who among us hasn't made a stupid mistake before? Anyone for Hypocrites on Toast?

bcvillastwo said:One more point, most of you people are unbelieveable. I've seen all kinds of statements and actions defended on the Community Board over the years but most of folks have almost no charity in your hearts.

Of course, if you sin and Pat Robertson catches wind of it, he calls for your assassination on his TV show!!! Watch your backs, sinners...Rev. Robertson's got a bullet with your name on it!!!bcvillastwo said:Now, about the part of him being a Christian and what he should have and should not have said, or done. He may be a Christian, but that doesn't mean he is without sin. I'd like someone to point out one God fearing person who doesn't sin. It's part of the human condition folks. We all do and say things that we aren't proud of and Pat Robertson founder of the 700 Club is no exception (and I doubt very much that he would say otherwise).

Pat Robertson may be my brother in Christ,
but I still think he's a buffoon,
and worse than that, dangerous.
He's made incredible statements on-air,
knowing & expecting people to follow his lead.
This "respected" man has resorted to immature name-calling
many times, even calling Ellen Degeneres "Ellen Degenerit (sp?)."
She called him on it, laughing at him on-air,
saying, "Yeah, like I didn't hear that 100 times in high school."
As a Christian, I do not resort to name-calling,
and I don't think PR (who does have influence unfortunately), should either.
BTW, I don't support Ellen D.'s lifestyle but an influential
Christian who has maturity of years & the medium to voice his views
should be performing better - PR has really done a disservice to Christ, IMHO.

After reading her other comments... sadly, I don't think so. I wonder if those who support Pat Robertson also supported those (not anyone on the DIS!) who suggested we could straighten out America by assassinating President Bush. What would be the difference? My memory is worse than Swiss cheese, but I seem to recall (in my lurker days) a lot of outrage expressed that anyone would "dare" suggest assassinating POTUS.ThAnswr said:There's a joke in here somewhere.

There is mouvement here in Canada to nationalise our petrol industries, because most of the profit from petrol goes out of the country. I just can see Pat calling for the murderof our prime minister in the name of the free market !
