Years ago now we used to love going to the Pat O'Brien's in New Orleans. But it was really just a place to drink and didn't allow minors to come in at the time.

Does anyone know if the location in Citywalk is similar? If I'm not mistaken, minors can come in to dine until a certain hour right? I'm traveling with a 16 year old and I thought that he might get a kick out the place.

Also, how is the food?

You would be able to eat dinner with him. Its only 21+ after 10:00pm. So, if you get there by 8/9 you should be fine. Ive only eaten there once (gotten drunk many more times) and all I had was a burger. The burger was good, but kind of a hard dish to mess up.

If I am not mistaken you should be seated before nine. After nine is when it is 21 and up. So make sure before you make your reservation.

To clarify, minors can eat in the outside courtyard at any time. The dueling piano bar is strictly 21+ after 9.

are the pianos dueling before 9pm...if you know what I mean lol....my kids would love this....us grown ups have been before but its all a bit vague:blush:

Last May, they were already playing when we arrived at 7PM on a Saturday. The bar was pretty empty at the time and we had no problem finding a seat. Within the next couple hours, the bar became standing room only!

Food is pretty good. The 16yo will love the flaming fountain along with the dueling pianos!!
