PAT in Miami Question

We are sailing out of Miami on the Magic on Friday. We have three staterooms, two of which have 1:30 PATs and one of which has a 3:00 PAT. Unfortunately, the 3.00 stateroom just booked a few weeks ago and that is all that was left. Any idea if they can arrive early and board with us? I know I've heard in the past that they are really only strict about the early PATs. Thanks!

At that point it should be well into open boarding, so there should be no problem. If they are not yet, the higher PAT will have to wait until open boarding is called.

Any idea what time open boarding starts? This is only my third Disney cruise, but my Dad's 8th, he says he always just shows up around 12 and boards.

No set time. It happens whenever the boarding group number they are handing out for people arriving at their PAT catches up with the boarding group they are boarding.

We had the same situation a few weeks ago, we had a boarding number of #6, and our accompanying party had a boarding number of #12, we just waited until our 2nd group's number was called to board, they checked every party boarding for the correct number so you'd be unlikely to get your later party to board with you, check in shouldn't be a problem though, we all checked in when we got the port but they did issue the different boarding numbers based on PAT. That being said, the boarding numbers when very fast, from when they announced our number to the time our 2nd party's was called it was only about 20 minutes. Good luck and enjoy your cruise!

Port Canaveral usually goes to open boarding 12:15-12:30
They start boarding a few minutes earlier than Miami and are bigger. I think Miami should go to open boarding 1:00ish. So if you show up then it shouldn't be a problem.
Port of Miami usually starts boarding 11:30.
For the bla bla bla portion of our post.... occasionally the ship arrives late to port and then this throws everything off. The last few times it happened Disney has emailed people and told them to arrive later. Or check this board people post when there is a issue.
