PAT from WDW resort

Sunday night was our check in date for our April cruise. We are staying at AoA2 nights before the cruise and booked DCL transfers from to resort to PC. I was under the impression that we would not be able to select a PAT since we had Disney transfers. However I was able to select a time.

I double checked with my travel agent that our resort transfers were confirmed, just feeling a little unsure. Maybe I misunderstood a post I read I just want to make sure we won't be stranded a few the resort the morning of our cruise.

Any experience with this?

You won't have a choice of times to catch the DCL bus to port. But the system does (usually) allow you to choose a PAT. You will be allowed into the port regardless of your PAT, so it is sort of a moot point.

The DCL transfers from WDW to port begin pick-up around 10:30 or so, through maybe 12:30pm. There will be 1 pick-up time for AoA, and depending on the number of guests from that resort you may have other stops along the way. You'll receive a letter the night before informing you what time to meet for the DCL transfers.

That is the case only if you book both the resort and transfers via DCL.

When being picked up from a WDW resort/hotel were have sometimes been asked to choose a PAT and sometimes not. When we are asked, I usually pick 1 pm or something so as not to prevent someone who is driving there from getting something earlier. We get there after open boarding anyway (except in the Med and Northern European cruises but we were allowed on as soon as we got there regardless of the PAT we'd chosen).
