PAST--WISH Meet July 19 12pm (in MI - all WISHers welcome) Jul/Aug

I would like to host a WISH meet in Michigan this summer! Since there are a number of us in MI (and some in Ohio, which is close) I thought it would be great to get together!!! (But every WISHer is welcome)
I haven't gone through all the details yet, but when I do I will post them!
I am looking at a Saturday in mid July-beginning of August.....let me know what you think!
For those of you wondering where I am to judge if you might be able to join us....
I am about 20min south of Detroit, about 25 minutes north of Toledo, about 90minutes from Lansing, 30 minutes from Ann Arbor.....
For out of staters- about 4 hrs from Chicago, about 4 hrs from Cincy, less than 3hrs from Cleveland...

I will be in Houston 7/4 and back home about 7/13 and don't leave home again until my WDW trip in August. The timing sounds good to me.

I'd like to come if it's a weekend that my DH is free - which is every weekend in July. Not sure which would be best - we will be in Canton over the 4th. The problem is that we have to get down to FL to visit some colleges sometime that month and we will be taking another weekend to go to Lexington, KY to see DS#2. That is, if it's ok for ILers to come, too!

oh Kamy - i'm not really sure how far your are - how long does it take you to get to Dayton or Cinci? Anyhow, Aug 2 is a good possibility for me - but I have to wait and get my DDs fair schedule first!

I see a road trip for Mom and I ......................I hope! what fun!!!

OhMom~ It takes us about 3hrs to get to Dayton....Tim's parents live in Milford, OH (outside Cincy) and we can get there in about 3 and half to 3 and 45min.
Sure hope you could join us!!!!

I am also open to Sat or Sun everyone! I just am trying to work with the following weekends: July 18 or Aug 1 weekends....wait, scratch that...that is Riddle Con and I know some people are going to that....so I think July 18 weekend....
Let me know what people think...

DIS meets are always a blast, so why not a WISH meet!

I'm not planning to come up that way until the week of Labor Day - but maybe it will be time for a second get together? Funny, but I lived in Woodhaven until 6th grade and still have a ton of family in that area!!!

Okay WISHers- Here is the scoop!!

I am planning to have a WISH meet at my home this summer!!! I am open to Sat and Sun....doesn't matter.....the only weekends I cannot do it is July4th weekend and August 15th weekend...so I am open to suggestions!!! I would love to try and accomodate anyone.....so tell me what you guys think!!!
It would be great to meet you guys and my wonderful dh, Tim has offered to man the grill!!!! LOL!!!

So, I am open for suggestions!

My dh is a church organist, so unless he's off that week, he has to work Sundays. He's on everySunday in August, so a Saturday meet would be better - but we'd need to drive back to Chicago in time for him to work on Sunday. So, I guess my preference is a Saturday brunch/lunch - picnic? The weekend of 7/19 we may be in FL for a college visit.

I am more than willing to be flexible with the dates! I just want to make sure that any WISHer who wants to come has the chance!!! A Saturday works great for me and dh and we would love to have you guys come!

Aw, I love DIS meets! I really wish we could make it. How far do you think it is from CT???
Unfortunately, this year all our vac. budget is going towards our move to FL, but I'll keep checking in with your plans. If I can't figure out a way to be there in person, I'll certainly be there in spirit.

I know what you mean about vacation budget.....ours is all allocated towards our two Disney cruises in OCT!

Kamy - July 19 is open for me as of now - i'm unsure about July 26 or Aug 9, but I will know soon when I get my daughter's 4H fair schedule?? I'll have Mom check when I'm at her house tomorrow

Kamy - what is your plans for this meet?? I finally got most of our 4H dates for the fair so i'm ready to block out a day for a WISH meet on my calendar!!
