PAST--Tablecloth Brigade Signup - for RiddleCon Saturday Lunch--INDEXED

It looks like the most feasible way to get together for Saturday Lunch at RiddleCon is to reserve some tables at the picnic pavilions outside the park at Cedar Point.

I talked with the folks at Cedar Point last Friday and they stated that the tables could be reserved on a first-come basis by leaving a tablecloth, and perhaps a cooler, on them. I'll be staying at the campground on Cedar Point, so I should be able to reserve a table or two early.

I figure if we get some more DISers to do the same, we can stake out enough tables to have a nice lunch meeting!

If you can do this, sign up here!

Maybe we can arrange to meet at the picnic pavilions early and get things arranged.

If anyone has any information about the picnic area and saving tables there, that would be greatly appreciated!

Oh! I'll likely just buy lunch in the park and carry it out to the pavilions....

From experience at CP, we'll need to s-p-r-e-a-d those tablecloths out! I feel sorry for the people who are eating quietly when all of us descend.

I'm going to spend some time tomorrow update my web page with this info.

I'm not really sure what time to gather to reserve the tables....has anyone ever done this before at CP??

I'd be willing to help, but since I'm only doing CP one day, it's important to me to get into the park as soon as it opens and ride Top Thrill Dragster first thing. In fact, I'm considering driving over to CP Friday evening to purchase my tix for the next day so I don't get bogged down in a ticket-purchasing line.

So if I can spread a tablecover and still walk thru the gates right at opening, I'm game. In fact I'd LIKE to do this, as I'm considering packing a lunch, so I'd need to drop off a cooler anyhow.


I'd like to hear from someone who has done this at CP before, too!!

D kutz you can spread you table cover and be at gates at opening. The picnic area is outside park gates and to the left as you are facing gates.

dkurz-Are you AAA member? You can buy your tickets ahead of time there and you'll save a few $$.

I am an AAA member, but Mid Atlantic and they don't offer CP tix. It seems only Ohio AAA offers them.

I got thinking why can't you once you get into Ohio stop by AAA office and buy tixs. I know I used my MI card to get mine. Never said a thing to me except that I had to be AAA member which I am.

We have a lime green (plastic) tablecloth that we use at our Memorial Day picnics. I'll try to remember to bring it along.
