Ok I am confused! I thought that we wouldn't need passports for a Disney Bahama's cruise? Insn't the Bahama's like a US territory? We are going to be booking a land/sea Disney Vacation and thought this was not an issue?

As of now, a passport is recommended, but not necessary. A birth certificate with a raised seal is needed though..... Just easier to use a passport, and soon you will NEED it.. :goodvibes

a passport is not REQUIRED if you are a U.S. citizen (note: the Bahamas are part of the British Commonwealth of Nations, not a U.S. territory), but it is recommended as a CONVENIENCE. There is a rumor that U.S. citizens will be required to have a passport for re-entry into the country in 3 years, even from cruise ships, but that's then not now.

Passports aren't necessary but I wouldn't travel outside the U.S. without one.
Just easier.
