Passports - Go in Person

Hi there! Just got our passports in the mail today. I applied in person on June 25 - took just 11 days! I think the key is to go in person. I went (in Mississauga, ON) at 9am and was through by 10am. They had a pre-screener who had me make a few adjustments such as making the place of birth match exactly what the birth certificate said.

I thought I'd be waiting and waiting - our trip's the end of Sept. NOW I can really start to get excited!!

And if you do it online, then go down in person you don't have a long wait to see the agent. In person is much better - I got mine in 10 days when I applied in June.

I strongly agree with doing the application online then going down in person. We did ours at the Whitby office. There was a fair number of people (probably over an hour wait time) but because we did ours online we went to the front of the line. We didn't even get to sit down before our number was called. The agent said we should have them in two to three weeks. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
