I just read in my AAA World magazine that starting Dec 31, 2005 that any US citizens traveling to the caribbean by air or sea will be required to have a valid passport.
Has anyone else read this?
I guess we will have to get passports for our Feb 2006 cruise. :confused3

Yes, there have been numerous threads on these boards for the last few months relating to the new polcies about passports and travel. Try doing a search and you will probably find some more threads on the issue.

Yes, this is true. Getting a passport is really hassle free. Allow 4-6 weeks - you can even download forms on-line and bring them to a designated post office that handles passports.

I got my passport anyway for my first cruise last year; I just felt it was easier and now with this new law, I'm even more happy that I did!
