Passporter arrived today

Isn't it funny how the passporter always finds me about one month before my AP expires? But to make it even more amusing, I got my Mickey Monitor today with my Passporter and my WDW AP is also due to expire in January too. I thought it was funny to get both the passholder newsletters/flyers together in my mailbox on the same day. It was like they were competing for my wallet...I could almost hear them saying...renew me, renew me, renew me too!

But I also have to say I was shocked to get the last email with the up to 50% off rooms for AP holders for January and Febraury.....wow. $109 a night...I was almost tempted to call or change my DVC reservation to add a day or two at US/IOA. Hopefully you other AP holders know what I'm talking about. This was a special pin special that we both got last week. I hadn't seen any mention of it lately here. I would've thought there was some buzz about it.

I thought there might be. I do have to say that I still continue to feel like US/IOA appreciates their passholders much more than Disney does. Though it would be nice if US/IOA would start offering their friends and family ticket discounts like they use to. I use to use that perk often. Just loved it when they would let us buy 50% off tickets for the friends and family members. I need to write them to tell them how much I miss that perk. While my DH and I still continue to visit US/IOA, often when we have family with us now (staying at our DVC resort) we don't visit US/IOA as much because of the lack of incentives to bring the family to the dark side. We don't always bring our family on our Florida trips (my adult DD, SIL and granddaughters), just when they are being good.

when they do ap specials to show their appreciation to us, the discounts and specials are great!

i think it was last year they had that special in the month of May for special tickets.

on second thought, could have been the year prior of '10.
i'm tired, memory failing right now................
