Passport stamps

It's the same as Caribbean legs- no passport needed to disembark ship but you will need it to re-enter ship at end of port call. There is no stamping, just inspection of document.

I think the OP is wanting to get their passport stamped as a keepsake. They might be able to find a customs office in Nassau to get their passport stamped, but I do not think there is one at CC.

When you return through the gate where the guards are just tell them you want to get your passport stamped. They will send you over to the yellow building. You go into a room down the hall and they will stamp your passports. They were very nice when we were there in December. You then go back out and go through security to get back on the ship.

Yes, exactly this. We want the stamp as a keepsake especially for our 5 year old DS who has a brand new passport. Thankso for the info.

tlprice remembers about the same as I do for Nassau. You go to the yellow building, there will be a guard or two in military uniforms by the gate (the sign on the building says "Bahamas Port Administration Building"). Tell the guard you want your passport stamped and they will let you pass. Inside the building, I think we made a right and walked almost all the way to the end of the hall. There is a passport office there and the officer can give you a stamp.

Hope it's not considered hijacking the thread...can anyone advise on passport stamps in Grand Cayman and Cozumel? TIA!

Won't you be surrendering that passport in 2021? I suppose you can put in the request to return it once new one is issued.

I've never heard of this "stamp collecting" business. I've traveled to 20 or 30 countries and never thought anything about the pages in the book...

Usually, when you get a new passport, they return the old one with a hole punched in it, indicating that's it's not valid.
↑ This :) We just redid all of our passports and they returned the old ones with a hole punched in them (as well as the birth certificates) about a week after we got our new passports.
