Hi! I'm taking a youth group down to Disneyland in March. I looked on the Disneyland web site and under the packages section they had a brochue. After reading the brochure, on one of the pages it has a section "Disney's Passport Plus".

It says that we get a Disneyland Resort Park Hopper souvenir ticket, including one Magic Morning AND a Downtown Disney District Fun Card.

So is this true? Has anyone done it or know off it? We get the souviner tickets and the District Fun Card?

Thanks.

I would call your local AAA office I called and asked about the passport plus you get all those things listed and the refillable mug. I called and asked 2 different agents one said no and the other said yes and he called and spoke with someone and they verified that you do get the mug as well. Just make sure you mention the passport plus.

dinotorrid, I think you might have found something new.

I keep seeing posts about Passport PLus, and that's what AAA called something they have, so AAA continues to be mentioned.

BUT this isn't on AAA's pages, as you very clearly stated! It's on Disneyland's site, and I found it just like you described, in their vacation package pages, in their brochure by clicking under where it states:

This is very interesting, that they are adding the fun card, I think. And that they are calling it Passport Plus.

Now...are you planning on doing lots of shopping in DTD? Or eating there? The card, or the one that I got with my Costco/WDTC package in Sept, had discounts off of certain amounts of purchases at different stores. I'm not 100% sure we even used ours b/c we weren't there to do tons of buying.

But it's nice to have it without it being tied to a room reservation!

As for the souvenir ticket, that just means a pretty plastic card with a picture of some sort on it...ours were Mickey and Minnie in YOMD colors (year of a million dreams) in clouds, I think. Not so much a souvenir when they TAKE them from you after you upgrade to an AP! Harumph.

Very cool that you described it so clearly, b/c I *think* this is new, for them to be using that phrase when I thought it was a AAA phrase.

We purchased this last Feb for our kids through aaa. We got 2 kids 8 day parkhoppers and the funcard. The souvenier ticket was a hard plastic, credit-card parkhopper, rather than the paper parkhoppers. AAA had to order the passport plus tickets as there were none in their office. We picked it up at aaa about a week after the order was placed. I don't believe there was a handling fee. We called our nearest aaa office and they knew nothing about a passport plus ticket. So we called another local aaa office and they knew about it so we ended up ordering through them.

Hey,

I found out some more new stuff (we'll new to me anyway).

Walt Disney Travel Company redirected me to Disney Leisure Tour Groups because we're buying more than 10 tickets. The way Disney Leisure Tour Groups explained "Passport Plus" to me is:

We get what was described in earlier posts, and I think it was for only $3 more than the price of regular admission tickets we can get the pin, lanyard and preferred seating in Disney's California Adventure.

Try it - if you got a motel of your own, contact WDTC and ask specifically for "Passport Plus Package" rather than buying just the tickets alone. Before I told WDTC I had more than 10 people, they were going to quote me on the "Passport Plus Package"... so it is out there!! Not just AAA apparently.

Bumpershoot- I personally won't be buying a lot. I've taken a lot of trips down there. But, for many of our youth: it would be a first timer. So, hopefully the District Fun Card will be useful.
