Passholder Preview??

Got in! I am so surprised! I was actually in epcot at noon trying to get on. Then I was on an airplane @ 6 pm. Just jumped on and finally got through! Happy dance!!!

We were also in Epcot at noon, trying to register with no success. Finally got through at 9pm. We're registered for Ariel's Grotto, Nov. 3 at 5pm.

My sister and I are registered for Sunday, November 11 at 12:30 with Ariel, which was my first choice.

I was one of the ones helping bring down the website at 12, relentlessly refreshing with no hope. Even after they announced they would open back up at 6, I was still refreshing. Eventually I gave up, too soon it seems as people were able to register shortly after that.

I had a class to get to at 6:30 but I pushed it, even with the traffic, and refreshed at 6. Imagine my shock when everything worked perfectly right away, and I was able to register with no issue.

I do agree it was a frustrating exercise, if this didn't work I was just going to drop everything and day trip it this Wednesday. Who knows, I still just might.

If this were any other company, I would stop patronizing them.

Which leads me to believe I have an addiction, because I'm not willing to stop going to WDW, but I want to be willing so I can hit Mickey in his wallet.

I am so angry. Not everyone can plan their day around when the Disney systems decide to work.

I tried last week. I tried today at noon for thirty minutes until I got the 6pm message. I tried at 6pm and then had to leave at 6:15 to go to a class. I come back at 9 and it's all sold out.

Tell me again what 'perks' I get for being a passholder besides anger and frustration????

I have the Premier pass good at both Disneyland and Disney World, and it will not accept my pass number! I am so bummed! The phone number is a no go.

Same here-- it wouldn't accept mine or my husband's. Not very happy as I was hoping to do this on our anniversary day.

Based on the threads I've been reading and my own experience, it looks like Premier Passports that were activated at DL do not seem to work on the online registration site, while Premier Passports activated at WDW do work. Can anyone confirm this?

I agree. I was lucky enough to get in, but it was still a very frustrating experience and the entire thing was handled very poorly by Disney. I am well aware that this is a "first world problem", but there is no reason why Disney couldn't have handled this much better. For a company with world-renowned customer service, this kind of thing is inexcusable. Unfortunately, I'm afraid they know they can get away with it because it's not enough to make us give up our passes.

We can complain, though. I do plan to write an email, and maybe even a hard copy-letter, expressing my unhappiness with the situation. If enough people do the same, maybe we will see some change, or at least a decent apology.

I still can not get DD5 registered. We can't log in because we have a time and she can not log in alone because she is under 18. Three hours on the phone starting at 8am and no resolution.

If you son is registered under you on the AP site, try logging in to get him a ticket alone.

Initially the site would only recognize me and not my 3yo DD so I got a pass for myself. I then went back in and only signed in my DD and sure enough it issued her a code too.

I'd try to register your 5yo on his own.

Ours were activated at WDW and neither one of ours work.

In case anyone who tried during the 12pm sign up time that might have got a network error like I did which told me my information was not submitted in time make sure to check your email. I thought mine did not take but I saw the confirmation email with the date and time I selected.

The link to the events page AND the Passholder page both say everything is sold out. I'm so pissed. I have been trying to get registered all day with nothing to show. It kept rejecting my AP#. Can't get through on the phone. This is the first time EVER I will say Disney really dropped the ball.

Unfortunately,I was expecting all the problems today.

Problems with Passholder-related things is NOT unusual at all.

The Passholder site is notorious for having sign-on issues,Passholder emails are not consistent(some Passholders receive them, some get them sporadically, some never get them)and The Mickey Monitor is the same as the emails.

Also, the Passholder "special" telephone number,as I understand it,simply goes to the main number with a note appearing on the CM's screen that it is a Passholder caling,so the CM taking the call may or may not know anything about Passholders.

It really is disappointing that Disney can't "iron out" all the Passholder issues.

First, it said I didn't have a pass.
Then, it said I didn't have a valid pass.
Then, I had already registered that pass.

In short, it never worked. Thankfully, my supervisor doesn't know what I was doing on my computer all afternoon and evening yesterday... Disney got a stern, reprimanding email. The lack of discounts/benefits for passholders really makes me reconsider whether or not I'll get one again. Fortunately I rode through Ariel's Grotto in Disneyland so I don't feel too robbed but I know my sister really wanted to go...

It took a lot of time at the computer, but I did finally manage to get in and get reservations last night. Thankfully the date and experience we wanted was still open. Sorry to those of you who ended up not getting in. It was definitely not an easy process to get through.

We were able to get in at 6 but I wound up using a different link that someone posted to get to the registration page. The link on the official site said that the server was down everytime I tried going through there.

So frustrating! I'm sorry for all of those who couldn't get it to work.

Our passes were registered on the site but when I went to register for the event we got a "no match found" message. I tried for hours and waited on the phone all night, got through 2 times and reps didnt know how to help me. One was a tech support and the other was a ticket rep who transferred me to a billing # that closed at 8pm LOL. I got through again at 9pm and the recording said the preview is sold out. This is absurd, I have active AP for everyone in the family, they were preregistered weeks ago and confirmed they were in my account profile this afternoon but for some reason the registration link said no match found at 6:30pm. With no service or support how can anyone expect me to feel good about how we were blocked from registering? Hours of my time, waiting and waiting thinking that something would turn positive but Disney did not think this through, they had no resources put towards this and honestly seem to care less about those that were "blocked" out. I am a DVC member as well and booked my points at Bay Lake Tower around this week specifically for this reason. I am so frustrated with the way this was handled, I am going to write a letter and consider cancelling my APs since we live in NY anyway. This type of benefit was part of the perceived benefit of buying APs.

Woooooops, I completely and totally forgot to check this section of the DIS yesterday to remind me, so the registration came and went and I forgot about it! I guess we'll have to try and catch a soft opening one of these days!

You know, my wife and I were asking each other this same question yesterday. I don't mean to complain (because, heck, we get to go to Disney anytime we want), but, well I guess I would just think they would do more for passholders. :confused3

If your DVC, why didn't you sign up as a DVC member? Call DVC member services today and see if they still have an opening for Nov. 4 or Nov. 5.

This is finally what I did to get registered. I was on hold for 20 minutes, but once a CM came on the line it was an easy process. Of course this was after trying to log-on and refresh and calling the passholder line for over an hour.
