OK, so I just got off w/CRO...12/18 and 12/19 (Friday/Sat) were not includedin the AP rate for CSR, so double check and have your dates broken down as it appears the resorts are all different in what dates/rates etc. I am thinking of doing the switch to AP from FD, as DS can apply his 1 day free BDay entrance to the AP...making it about 425...which helps us out overall..lonf story, but we need flexibility over FD...good luck to all!

I have a silly question..

ADP means an annual pass, right? Is there a point where getting an annual pass makes sense, just to take advantage of the discounts? We are staying at FWL for 7 nights - 11/30-12/7/09.

You only have to have ONE AP in your room (I think it has to be an adult?? not sure on that)...so if you buy an AP just to apply the discount (which very well could be worth it for 7 nights!!!) just buy one.

I don;t know if this is the right place to ask, but anyone know know which dates would be better for crowds? December 3-7 or December 10-14

I think they are both about the same? Maybe earlier better than later? But it depends on if you want to watch the Christmas Parade taping? Which could make it busy. Or what MVMCP you want to attend...lots of variables...

I booked CSR (11/29 - 12-5) early this morning for $89 a night

Still waiting for darling(?) MIL to decide if we can use Bonnet Creek in October (loooooooooooong story) but, I'm happy those October dates are covered in this discount just in case

You can, in fact call and get the rates without the pass in hand. I just did, as I had planned. (I was waiting for these to try and better the AAA rate I already had.) They didn't have my first resort available. (We are doing a split stay POR and Kidani.) They had Kidani avail but it was only $25 less a night than AAA. That isn't worth it for me to buy the AP. But, maybe for someone else it may work!! It is like $100 off rack rate. Also, I asked about an extension / new offer. She said to keep checking back that there "may" be something new but that FD definitely won't be extended??!! So, we'll see! I would love that opportunity!!

AP rate was available for my FW Dec 5 campsite reservation but it was actually $25 MORE than my current AAA rate. Oh well, but glad I already had a good deal.

Just got my reservation to $700 less than it was for 4 nights at the Grand Floridian in December. I do not have my AP yet, but I was able to book the AP rate--no problem at all.

So I'm confused... you said you used the code for your GF stay? The original post had 2 deluxe resorts listed, and a few of the villas. I know with the PIN codes you can apply them to other resorts than the ones listed, but I thought with these types of codes you were typically limited to certain resorts.

I'm curious if the VISA or general public codes will be the same. I have a client currently booked at club level in the Contemp, and this would really save her some $$, plus I have another client looking to travel early Dec. and a room discount would be wonderful for them (she's not booked yet, but should be in the next few days... we've been playing phone tag trying to get details).

Thanks so much for the heads up! I wasn't expecting AP rates to be out quite yet so this was a nice surprise. I just called and had my AAA room rate changed over to the AP rate. That saved several hundred dollars!

I spoke with a very nice CM but she didn't know about the AP room rate releases yet so she had to go searching for that. I guess this is REALLY breaking news ... so thanks again!

I was looking at 10/16 thru 10/24 and availability was somewhat limited. I was offered: BC water view for $344/nt, YC lagoon view CL for $366/nt, BWI standard CL for $314/nt, BWV standard 1BR for $374/nt. I wanted BC or YC standard view and it wasn't available - if I played with the dates, I was able to get BC standard to pop up for just two nights at $259/nt.

I believe you are able to book the AP rate but must show your AP at check in. Atleast that is the way it used to be. I will be calling later when I get home. I am going down in August and getting an AP but plan on booking the AP rate for my October trip now. If things have changed please let me know.

Yes, just did this recently. You can book without the AP as long as you have it for checkin.

Here's a dumb question...when it says throught he 24th of December does that mean you need to check out by the 24th or can you stay the night of the 24th and still get the discount???

Also if this deal is opened to VISA holders how will we know?

If we already have a package booked will we automatically get the discount on the nights that are eligible? Or are there only a few rooms available and its firt come first served when the deal comes out? I'm thinking we should get it if we have already booked...it would stink to call up and ask for it to be added into our package to find out everyone else beat us and there were none left for the dates!

I called and modified my 10-day at YC...saved over $1,300. Holy Cow!

I cannot recall the last time I was able to find a 10-day AP rate at YC.

Yes, you can try for availability at any of the resorts. Disney always advertises AKL and WL as the deluxes because they're the cheapest--but the discounts are usually available at other resorts, too.

Not a dumb question at all as the resorts all seem to have different rates/dates....when I called about CSR 12/18 12/19, 12/25, 12/26/&12/27 were all rack rate, while 12/20, 12/21, 12/22,12/23, and 12/24fell under the AP rate....not sure if I could apply AAA to any of those non AP dates (forgot to ask ) the reason 12/18 and 12/19 were blocked out was because they are a Friday and Saturday...so Sun-Thurs was the discount. So, even tho I would be checking in at the valid part of the AP discount, it did not carry thru for all of my dates..looks like WDW is tightening up on that a bit for room only discounts...as I currently have FD at CSR booked 12/17-27 and the FD was applied to all the nights...including 12/24 and 12/25.
I think you will have to call, as I had CM check out different resort options for us, and theh ASMU suites were discounted all the days except 12/25 on...so to be sure of exact info, just call and good luck!

Thanks! I figured that's what the deal was, knowing that it is usually okay to get other resorts, but was curious before I called for some clients. Now let's hope I can get the rate for the ones at the Contemp CL... they will love me if I can save them even more $$ !
