I can see the point if the annual pass was actually expensive. However, you can get two years for $189. If you are going to be going to the parks more than twice in two years, a pass is the way to go.

ITA... There are several things the OP's DD does enjoy at US/IOA however since the OP doesn't enjoy those things she doesn't want to waste her time. She had rather be dong the things she enjoys at US/IOA.
Since she does live so close, why in the heck can't both be acomplished? No one is saying she should take her DD to US/IOA everytime she goes, or that she shouldn't be able to enjoy US/IOA alone. What we are saying is we don't see her point of not buying her DD a pass for US/IOA, but even more than that...Why she feels that everyone should reconsider their decision to buy passes for their kids.
